The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking married couples to live on campus while on duty to provide youth with a strong parental role model while implementing a professional family-style program that emphasizes skill acquisition and personal development and a safe and secure environment in which to grow and learn. The Cottage Parent teaches and develops social skills, academic skills and independent living skills. Also fosters moral and spiritual development through a broad array of activities to youth in residence. The Cottage Parent administers the day-to-day operations of a large family residence including various paperwork, domestic responsibilities and other assigned duties. Works closely with child care professionals as a team in carrying out responsibilities in the work place. High School Diploma or GED required/ BA preferred 3-4 years experience working with troubled and disadvantaged youth. DFWP/EOE

We are interested in either a very driven single property manager qualified to do all tasks listed in the job description or a two person team or couple to maximize the rental potential of a self storage facility location and oversee all aspects of storage transactions, customer service, rentals, record-keeping and security. These individuals will be responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the store through general property maintenance, a strong desire to grow the business,through outside the box thinking, developing effecting branding and marketing strategies, a positive attitude that reflects a desire to maintain the highest level of customer service and respect for internal and external customers.

 Both individuals must be able to conduct themselves professionally while servicing customers and both must have the ability to perform office duties. Additional responsibilities include community involvement through marketing initiatives.

 One individual must be able to perform office duties as well as light maintenance on property such as removal of weeds, light electrically, light plumbing, cleaning units, fixing doors and removing debris. This person must be endure exerting up to  50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs of force frequently and/or up to 10 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

This position requires a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record to operate motor vehicles with both types of transmission (automatic or standard).

Work hours are a normal weekdays with weekends off (except as needed for appointments and possible emergencies). Tasks include mowing lawns in common areas; trimming trees and shrubs; contacting the appropriate contractor in the event of an emergency; overseeing all aspects of the community.
