RV Couples GATE GUARDS - Medina, TX

TX: Gate Guards are needed by OverWatch Enterprises, LLC, for security in the oil field in South Texas. Applicants should be neat and clean in appearance, fit and able to withstand outdoor working conditions in remote locations.

Job Description:

Maintain a cottage atmosphere of organization and planning in managing daily activities
Provide an example of and teach residents basic skills such as room organization, cleaning, work-ethic, punctuality, recreational activities, manners, cooking, laundry and clothing care, time management, communication skills, relationship building, conflict resolution, financial management, etc.
Provide breakfast each morning and three meals per day on weekends and days when the residents are not in school
Assist with educational skills as needed
Maintain a schedule for routine medications as needed
Assist residents with minor illnesses or injuries
Attend church activities with the residents and answer spiritual questions as they arise
Transport residents to activities or appointments as assigned
Supervise residents in the cottage, on campus, on activities away from the Ranch or in any situation involving the residents when RAs are on duty
Supervise cottage projects and vo-tech projects
Communicate concerns to Team Coordinators, Counselors and Administration as needed
Maintain electronic reports daily when on duty
Maintain minor repairs and upkeep in the cottage and staff quarters and on assigned vehicles and equipment
Develop and maintain relationships with the family members of residents
Coach residents in life skills, including self-care, hygiene, cleanliness, organization, communication, problem solving, etc.
Utilize the level system and other defined methods to reinforce positive discipline and behavioral expectations
Use common-sense coaching techniques to encourage residents in behavioral and relationship improvements
Utilize communication skills designed to both hear and speak in ways that provide effective interactions with peers, staff, family members, visitors, etc.
Willingness to protect client confidentiality
Willingness to attend training and utilize training skills in working with residents
Participate in formal resident assessments, and provide accurate and helpful information to the staff and family members about the resident's activities and interactions with others
Provide hospitality to campus visitors as assigned
Provide care and protection for assigned equipment
Other duties as assigned

LillianFarms is located at 12570 FM 1155, Washington, Texas, half-way between Houston and Austin. The owner is looking for Full-time Caretakers/Innkeepers

Work consists of house cleaning, maintaining 6 cottages and 6 rooms in main house, yard work, hot tubs and general maintenance.

House Parent Couple - Yoakum, TX

Basic Function: Couple is responsible for providing, on a live-in basis, an environment of consistent structure, guidance, and nurturing in the home; for implementing facility’s structured childcare program.

Compensation package includes room/board provided, health insurance provided, food provided while on duty, retirement plan with up to 5% of salary matched, competitive salary etc.

Responsibilities:

Participate as a member of the treatment team to meet the physical, emotional, social, educational, and spiritual needs of residents, as outlined in each resident’s plan of service.

Provide environment that encourages positive growth, stimulates self-confidence, trust, and love for others. Remain attentive to the physical emotional, social, educational, and spiritual growth of children in our care.

Utilize daily schedule, level system, and other components of facility’s structured childcare program to improve residents’ self-image and daily living skills. Maintain an awareness of children’s needs and remain attentive to creative changes in the program.

Monitor and coordinate children’s activities, behaviors, and locations.

Assign and supervise daily chores.

Prepare and serve balanced meals. Maintain menus and production records of food served. Maintain food and medical supply. Inventory food items at month-end.

Make sure children in your care have suitable clothing.

Facilitate individual and group devotion times.

Provide transportation as needed.

Maintain cottage, including staff living quarters and yard, in a clean and orderly manner. Make repairs to cottage and equipment as necessary. If assistance is needed, report to the administrator.

Report immediately any suspected child abuse or neglect to the administrator.

Learn the chain of command and follow it in regard to any problems or concerns.

Participate in staff meetings and training to develop and enhance childcare skills.

Keep daily log. Document behaviors & activities. File incident reports when necessary.

Dispense medication as directed. Log dosage as required.

Position Requirements:

Minimum 21 years of age (Retirees welcome).

High School diploma or GED.

Husband/wife team preferred.

One year experience working with children in a residential setting preferred.

Must pass criminal history background check.

Commitment to Christian principles and teachings, both professionally and personally. Weekly church attendance is a requirement for staff and children.

Personality attuned to the requirements of meeting needs of children.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers.

Ability to deal with a variety of adults and children with a range of personalities and problems; maintain confidentiality.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, be energetic and innovative.

Ability to motivate people.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Ability to function in parental role by performing responsibilities and tasks on a live-in basis.

Ability to perform duties with moderate supervision. Supervisor is usually available. Most tasks are governed by standard practices, but not always.
Innovative thinking is required.

Ability to recognize differences in sound, such as voices/noises that are loud and playful instead of angry and combative; and ability to differentiate tones and volumes in conversation.

Ability to recognize differences in sound generated by equipment or machinery, which may indicate operating problems or safety concerns.

Willingness to take CPR, First-Aid, and Behavior Intervention training.

Valid Texas driver’s license.

Ability to drive assigned vehicle(s), must be eligible for coverage under facility’s auto insurance policy.

Position requires bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, climbing, and kneeling; walking or standing 50–75% of the time.
