Park Host(s) - Ketchikan, AK

Settler's Cove is a small 14 site campground, public use cabin and day use area, located 18 miles north of Ketchikan. The park is nestled in a cove along an ocean passage and surrounded by large trees of the temperate rainforest. There is good fishing, whale watching, beachcombing and fabulous kayaking. The area has an abundance of Sitka black-tailed deer, and several miles of forested trail to hike. Couples preferred.

Host Duties: Welcome campers and day users to acquaint them with the park area and facility; informing visitors of the park regulations, policies, fee requirements, as well as local and statewide attractions; Check and occasionally clean the Public Use Cabin; Inform visitors of the importance of keeping a clean camp site to deter bear activity; deter vandalism/criminal mischief; contact the appropriate law enforcement or EMS agency for emergencies; and inform the area ranger of any problems. Assist the area park staff with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the area facilities.
Special Projects: May assist, or provide interpretive/educational programs and/or special events authorized by staff. Assist with minor improvements as time and materials are available.
Amenities:  Log cabin, minimal furniture and utensils. Propane heat and stove/oven; electric refrigerator. Propane, electricity, phone and small subsistence payment provided. Other services located in Ketchikan.
Season: 8-10 weeks 5/1 - 7/15, 7/16 - 9/30; and winter caretaker, 10/1 - 4/30 all winter preferred, but will split for 3.5 months each.

Other duties will include implementing treatment plans, guidance and supervision to youth in avenues such as physical care, development of acceptable habits and attitudes, positive behavioral support, crisis intervention, assistance with the upkeep of the physical environment and helping achieve mastery of identified goals and objectives and the timely, thorough completion of required documentation.

 REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR SKILLS

• Be at least 21 years of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent is required, paid child care experience is preferred
• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to pass a MVR Check
• Ability and desire to work and live with youth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility and willingness to work a wide array of hours, which will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• *Proven record of sound judgment and ability to work with children in a mature and responsible manner
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and reference verification procedure in order to determine one’s fitness to satisfactorily and safely care for youth
• CPR and First Aid Certifications, CPI Training (de-escalation and restraint training)

RV Park in Kingman, AZ is seeking 2 friendly, guest-oriented couples. One will work in the office taking reservations, answering phones, and tending to our small store. The other works outside general maintenance, mowing/trimming, cleaning, etc. 24/hr work week each. We are seeking a two person on-site PROPERTY MANAGEMENT TEAM for our 200+ Senior Mobile Home and RV Park in Desert Hot Springs. -Park wide maintenance
-Enforcing park rules and regulations
-Communicating with residents & promoting positive tenant relations

Daily duties also include performing maintenance tasks.

-Overseeing on-site maintenance personnel, contractors and vendors

-Cleaning up debris and leaves from the mobile home park streets and common areas
-Trimming trees and hedges when necessary
-Repairing and painting community structures as needed
-Performing plumbing tasks such as small water line repairs and sewer line maintenance.
-Performing inspections on individual spaces
