Resort Manager(s) - Urbanna, VA

Join the team at one of the nation’s top rated RV resort properties, located on the water by Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay. Our resort provides a high level of amenities and services including over 1200 luxury RV sites and rental cottage accommodations in the historic harbor town of Urbanna.
The resort features a large scale water park, camp store, restaurant, catering, recreation center, reception facility, Hewick Plantation special events, maintenance department, 400 slip marina, RV sales office, miniature golf course, expansive grounds and infrastructure.
We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Resort Manager. This position will:
- Manage the resources of the properties, including staff, buildings, infrastructure, camp sites and other assets.
- Attract new customers and guests through active marketing, excellent customer service, and adding value to the vacation experience of our guests and seasonal clientele.
- Pursuing group and RV rally business for revenue generating special events and catering on-site.
- Prepare annual operating plans and monitor progress of actual versus projected figures on a monthly basis.
· Follows and ensures accurate financial accounting procedures.
- Executes a routine preventative and emergency maintenance program.
- Monitors physical facility on a daily basis to ensure a top tier customer experience and safe environment.
- Assist in coordinating, planning and participating in special events as required.
- Coordinate with food and beverage and retail operations to maximize quality and profitability.
- Routinely inspect and ensure a top tier appearance for all property areas.
- Oversees the recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervision of all personnel including disciplinary actions and terminations when appropriate.
- Participate in development and execution of plans for improvement, growth and expansion.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree from a 4-year, accredited university or college. A combination of education and commensurate experience may be considered.
· Minimum of 5 years RV resort or amusement park management experience including 5 years of supervisory experience required.
· Experience managing 100+ staff members directly on a regular basis.
· Experience in hospitality industry preferred.
· Experience in providing a high level of customer service and skills in conflict resolution.
· A proven track record in customer and employee communication, team building and training.
· A willingness to work hands-on throughout the property in a variety of situations.
· Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
· Marketing and sales experience preferred.
· General knowledge and experience managing property maintenance including landscaping, grounds maintenance, plumbing, electrical and construction.
· Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications, and other web based applications including email, financial systems.
· Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.
· Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays with extensive hours in an outdoor environment.
· A current driver's license.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR SKILLS
• Be at least 21 years of age or older
• High School diploma or equivalent is required, paid child care experience is preferred
• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to pass a MVR Check
• Ability and desire to work and live with youth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility and willingness to work a wide array of hours, which will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• *Proven record of sound judgment and ability to work with children in a mature and responsible manner
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and reference verification procedure in order to determine one’s fitness to satisfactorily and safely care for youth

Assistant Manager Couple - Tanner, AL

Looking for a couple interested in assisting in the managing of our RV and Mobile home community in Tanner, AL. The community consist of 380 sites that accommodate daily, weekly and long-term RV travelers as well as mobile home residents.
Our goal is to increase the occupancy and heighten community involvement.
This position involves all aspects of the daily operation of the community and assisting the current on-site managers. Amenities include a Clubhouse, Laundry Facility, and Exercise area which is maintained on a daily basis.
In addition, the office work includes taking rental applications, rental payments, making bank deposits, scheduling RV Travelers, scheduling Clubhouse reservations, data entry of information and notes into the computer on daily basis, answering of the phone and general office duties.
There is ongoing maintenance at the park to keep the areas clean, yards and common areas mowed and weeds trimmed, upgrades and repairs, landscaping, carpentry, electrical and plumbing skills will be a plus for this position. Ability to work in an outside environment is critical.
This position is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM with a 1 hour lunch. There will be a rotational on call duties that are shared with the manager couple. This position includes, salary, housing, electrical allowance and benefits. This is a position for a couple.
