What We Seek:

We are searching for a couple with the “wow factor” to manage our remote Eco-lodge on the Sea of Cortez in Baja, Mexico. This is a unique opportunity to live, work in and experience one of Mexico’s most unique and diverse eco-systems. We’re looking for a confident, energetic couple to take over the management of our 9-yurt lodge and 8 members of staff. Reporting to our owner located 300 miles away in San Diego, the successful candidates will have previous remote experience and relish the outdoor life.

Combined responsibilities within this management role include:

• Full responsibility for guests during their stay from arrival to departure. Ensure ultimate guest relations in the lodge and that the “at home” personal attention levels are always maintained.
• Management and training of the camp staff.
• Managing and leading the Housekeeping and Guide teams.
• Managing and working with pilot/guides
• All administration pertaining to purchasing and logistics including orders, stocktaking and re-supply runs to San Diego.
• All administration relating to staff including registers, staff welfare and staff discipline.
• Managing / supporting cook with any matters arising in the kitchen department.
• Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and maintenance to ensure that cleanliness, order and function is not compromised.
• Scheduling and over seeing of maintenance of all equipment: boats, vehicles, sport equipment and lodge facilities.
• Effective financial management through the administration of orders and stock control.
• Effective communication and maintenance of lodge relations.
• Constantly looking for ways to further “green” initiatives and operations.

Lodge Management Couple - Kota Kinabalu Borneo

Live in position available- We are seeking a Lodge management couple for a intimate commercial Lodge situated on the tropical island Mantanani on the West Coast of Borneo.   The Individuals must have the ability to work harmoniously with entire Management team and staff, be resourceful and able to work under pressure and unsupervised. They should also willing to work for extended periods in a remote environment.

We need a couple with solid experience/knowledge, who is mature in character. This lodge has a very small team so would require managers with a hands-on management approach. One partner needs to be a qualified Natural Tour Guide  with valid licenced qualification. General maintenance knowledge would be required  One partner needs to be strong in F&B / cooking related duties and previous experience in this. its a long term position with living on a small island, Starts possible from July /August.  Language knowledge in Bahasa Malay and/or Mandarin are preferred. Good English is a must.  

Hands on Ranch Manager (or Team) - 10 miles south/southeast of Navasota, Texas, TX

Ranch Manager or husband/wife team needed to manage recreational ranch located 10 miles south, southeast of Navasota, Texas.   Responsible for all daily ranch activities and duties on 1200 acre ranch.

Ranch management duties will include property, equipment and vehicle maintenance, brush clearing with heavy equipment (i.e., dozer, excavator, tractor, etc.), taking care of cattle, and construction projects, hunting season duties, filling feeders, assisting in guest services and managing facility and ranch personnel.  The ability to operate equipment and perform equipment maintenance and repair is required and essential for the job.  Carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills are also required.

Will participate in and assist with wildlife management practices including: general maintenance of wildlife and guest resources, individual plant treatment chemical applications, predator control including trapping raccoons, and feral pig management, deer scouting, including using game cameras and video cameras to locate and pattern deer.

Will communicate and coordinate with owners to prepare for ranch events.

Must have significant experience in similar situations working on and managing agricultural property, is able to work independently with little or no supervision, and have good communication skills.  Background in agriculture field, wildlife and/or animal science a plus.

Salary dependent on experience and education.  Housing and benefits provided.

The services are needed of a mature, married couple to work and live on the premises of an estate or farm in the St Louis, MO area. Duties include general housekeeping, simple meal preparation, maintenance, up-keep and security of the grounds, exterior care of several acres year-round, pool care, and care of pets.

Separate living quarters and utilities are provided. Successful candidates will be non-smokers with no children and must enjoy caring for animals.
