We are seeking a qualified experienced couple to be Inn Keeper/Property Caretakers for a 13 room Lodge open year around in Heber/Overgaard, AZ
On-site Inn Keeper couple will be responsible for the day to day operations, including and not limited to reservations (booking, monitoring, reporting) guest services-customer services, housekeeping, laundry, grounds keeping and minor maintenance/handyman duties. We suggest you are proficient with computer (Excel, Word) and capable of learning and operating Web Reserv reservation system. A MUST IS TO have a professional work ethic, and to be honest, trustworthy and reliable. Prior experience with hotel/motel management is helpful.
Our Boutique Lodge is located at 6000' elevation and is in a well-known year round recreation area. Our winters are mild with light snowfall. Spring, summers and fall weather is absolutely perfect for hiking, four-wheeling, fishing, camping, horseback riding, hunting or just escaping Phoenix for a relaxing timeout.
The Inn Keeper couple must be energetic, highly organized, possess wonderful people skills, physically able to manage day to day duties. This is a great opportunity for the right couple with knowledge of hospitality industry, maintenance, housekeeping and guest services. Experienced in marketing through social media, advertising, interacting with guests to make their stay a pleasant memorable one so they come back and stay over and over again. The success of our 13 room family friendly lodge will be completely dependent on your contribution and enthusiasm.
The Lodge does not have a support staff. The entire property is managed and maintained by the couple hired. This is not a management only position or an office job. You will be required to get dirty cleaning rooms while maintaining a professional demeanor both on the phone and in person.
Live in apartment includes 2 full baths, 1 large bedroom with walk-in closet, large full kitchen/dining, 2 living areas (1 can also be used as 2nd bedroom), large covered deck and steps down to private fenced yard, utilities, satellite TV, internet and a monthly fee for services.

About the House:
The position will include a nice 2 bed, 1 bath cabin, all utilities, high speed Internet, trash, etc. ($800+ monthly value) + Salary and a share of the farm profits and bounty---In exchange for managing & working the farm. This is a year round position.
Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential to cooperate with family members and guests, as well as with other employees and service contractors in order to maintain a secure, cooperative, and pleasant working environment. Required computer skills include emailing, web browsing and using Microsoft Word & Excel, etc.
About the Vision:
The vision for this farm will include a Grass-Fed Beef & Dairy Operation, as well a Raised Bed (Hugelkultre) Gardening Operations.These are not currently in place. The main responsibilities will be the planning and implementation of these objectives with an emphasis on Rotational Grazing Animal Husbandry as well as the Planning and Building of the Gardens. Additional responsibilities will include: Fence building & repair, hiring and supervision of laborers, security, etc.
Farming at this level is not a job, but a Lifestyle.
