We are looking for an energetic couple to help with our nature-based business - a small, family-owned eco retreat center located in the eastern panhandle of WV. Three Otters is a gorgeous 14 acre property with a quarter mile on the Potomac River, an organic garden, a 1 acre ball field, and a range of community gathering spaces and eclectic lodging options.

Here's what we are looking for: an open minded, all peoples loving, RVing (preferable. but not a deal breaker), adventurous, handy, hard-working couple that cares deeply for nature, has an interest in sustainability (e.g., organic gardening). Here's what we need help with: gearing up for and running the 2017 season (April-October - give or take) - tasks include help w grounds, garden, housekeeping, handyman/woman projects, greeting guests, planning events, running float trips, and/or cooking. We are looking for a couple to tag team with us to create a warm, welcoming, pleasant win-win scenario for everyone who visits, volunteers, or works at Three Otters. 

Here's what you need to know. Sorry, no children. Pets are welcome as long as they are GREAT with other pets and with people. We prefer hosting a couple that has their own RV (we will provide water, electric and a dump station). Three Otters is remote, located 30 min from the nearest town. While we have a landline, cellphone access is spotty and we do not have internet access (though we are working on it!). We do have a small cabin that you can visit on your days off and it has internet. Finally, the last few miles into the property are on an old, narrow bumpy railroad bed, so if you have a great big, beautiful RV, you will NOT want to trek to Three Otters.

Compensation: You will have a free place to stay in a beautiful setting with access to some lovely amenities. You will also have access to a small cabin where you can stay on your days off and catch up online. In addition, you can enjoy free and fresh organic produce. That said, Three Otters is labor intensive and with your help we can improve and expand the business. We will provide a stipend ($10-14 per hour) depending on your level of experience.

Domestic Couple - New York, NY

Beautiful estate with a separate apartment for the couple in this idyllic property just 50 minutes from New York City. Working for a quiet husband and wife who splits their time between Manhattan and Long Island.  

Female: Chef, Housekeeper, Server and a variety of activities
Male: Butler, Houseman, Driver

This is a formal home with top shelf, prior private home experience, skills and manners required.

Female will be a cook or chef, and male will be butler, houseman, driver and serving partner. The family is in need of formal cook/chef to prepare anything from traditional to gourmet meals. The right candidates for this opportunity will have to have prior experience working in a private, staffed home. 
 
In this role, the cook will prepare simple and healthy lunches and dinners as well as occasional formal dinners. Dinner is typically served at 7pm and the couple would like dinner to be served in three courses by candlelight.  
 
The couple occasionally hosts small, intimate dinners/parties (6-8 people). If they entertain for larger groups, wait staff will be hired. The right couple for the position should be comfortable to prepare a meal for up to 20 people. 
 
The family prefers simple, yet healthy dinners staying away from heavy creams, butters, sauces, etc. They would like these dinners to be plated on their fine china nicely. The cook/chef must be flexible to work with their tastes and willing to accommodate recipes and be creative. 
 
The family also has a live out full time housekeeper.  Couple will assist with housekeeping and occasional deep cleaning.  
 
The cook would also be responsible for shopping for the groceries (car will be provided), therefore this individual must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record required of both. In addition to shopping, the chef/cook will also be responsible for keeping up with kitchen inventory. 

Butler/Houseman/Driver:

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

- Keeping household stocked including food for all meals, beverages and pantry supplies, etc.
- Assisting cook with meals and service
- Assisting the housekeeping team with cleaning and maintenance: vacuuming, dusting, etc.
- Maintenance of vehicles
- Deep cleaning of the home occasionally
- Maintenance of wine
