We are looking for energetic couples or singles to join our Hospitality Team in Port Renfrew. If you love nature and have a passion for exceptional guest service, this may be the job for you. We are currently hiring servers, bussers, bartenders, sous chefs and line cooks.

Port Renfrew is a small coastal community on southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, a gateway to ancient forests, epic hikes, and mighty surf. From world renowned Botanical beach, the area also boasts Avatar grove, West coast and Juan de Fuca trails, as well as the Legendary Swiftsure Bank, known for the world’s best Salmon and Halibut fishing. This community is somewhat remote, located 45 minutes’ travel by vehicle to the next town. Approximately 275 people reside in Port Renfrew year around, increasing dramatically in the summer months.

Needed Asap Kitchen Help/Cooks - Frankston, TX

We are looking for (2)Work Campers to work in the Restaurant/Kitchen. Can be a couple or an individual for each position. Each assignment is 5 hrs per shift, 4 days on/4 days off in exchange for FHU including propane. 

Caretaker(s)/Host(s) - Gilbertsville, NY

We are looking for a caretaker-host (single person or couple) for the summer of 2017 camping season. Compensation will include an RV campsite with hookups and access to the caretaker cabin.

 Besides being present to welcome park users, responsibilities will include: simple daily water testing; lawn mowing as needed; upkeep of restrooms; and basic bookkeeping.  The park is a very pretty, seven-acre, established park and 20+ site campground, full of mature trees, two creeks, and grassy open spaces. Our park is owned and operated by the local municipality. 

A good group of local volunteers is available as needed for help.  

The main characteristic we are looking for in our caretaker is a friendly face to welcome patrons to the park and help us to keep up the progress we've been making in re-establishing camping in the park after several lapsed years.  

Our season runs from May 1st through September 30th.

Work trade on Alaskan homestead - Haines, AK

We are looking for a couple to live in a new home on our property in exchange for 12/hours/week work per person.  Work will include mostly gardening and outdoor work in the summer and  a variety of indoor projects in winter.  We prefer long term but are open to short term, with at least 4 months stay.

We live in the mountains 40 miles away from the small coastal town of Haines.  While having  most of the luxuries of modern life, we   live as sustainably and  simply as we can, growing our own food.  A caretakers house allows us to have someone living on our property, to help us maintain this lifestyle as we get older.      We may leave for weeks in the summer and months in the winter  when you would be responsible for maintaining the gardens and greenhouses.  The house  is mostly heated with wood so  requires preparing firewood for winter. We encourage you to grow food for yourself.

Our lifestyle is very seasonal and has more work in spring, summer and fall, with less In the winter. You will put more hours in summer months and less in winter.

You must be self motivated people with a strong work ethic. We work hard during summer season. We desire to create more of a community working relationship with both of you, rather than an employer relationship. You will become part of the Alaskan homestead operation and our lifestyle after some time of learning the ropes and proving yourselves. A major project this year will be erecting a geodesic dome greenhouse. Some building skills would be handy but not necessary. A willingness to learn and try new experiences is a must. We try to provide work options that you enjoy.

Because  only 24 hours /week will be expected there will be plenty of time  for you to play, or if you  want to, find other part time work it. It will likely require driving 40 miles to town, which eats away earnings with our higher gas prices.  

This will be an Alaskan experience : joining us in fishing, gathering  foods like berries, growing and preserving foods,  hiking, skiing, and snowshoing, living as  part of a community.
