Seeking a Hotel General Manager/Innkeeper for a 29-room Inn on Whidbey Island, San Juan Islands, WA.
This intimate Inn is located in the San Juan Islands of WA, a quick ferry ride to Seattle!
Must be an adventurous and entrepreneurial ‘jack of all trades’. This will be unique opportunity to work with an energetic and award-winning creative team in re-inventing a Pacific Northwest icon. From the highly seasoned to those looking to shift from an F&B/events background, you are welcome, STRONG #2’s will be considered, may be appropriate for a couple team depending on strengths of each couple (F&B, sales, operations, engineering etc.).
Applicants with community orientated, arts, culture or maritime backgrounds and interests are appreciated.
RARE opportunity to become the Hotel GM/Innkeeper at this iconic and historic, San Juan Islands property as it embarks on its next 110 years and a “new future”.
The hotel currently has 29 “lodge style” rooms (will expand to 32), a restaurant + bar and 6 beautiful acres overlooking Penn Cove, perfect for weddings and events.
This is NOT a live on-site position.

Chugach National Forest campground hosts needed for the summer of 2018! Mid May thru mid September Various campgrounds available along the Kenai Pennisula, must have own RV (no tents) campsite provided and pay varies depending on the Campground $1900-$400
Our fantastic Campground Hosts work in the campground assisting with the reservation system, selling camping permits and providing customer service to our visitors. You also serve as eyes and ears for USFS personnel in their assigned campground.
The satisfaction of helping both the National Forest and its visitors is the Campground Host’s greatest reward. By their presence, Hosts minimize vandalism thereby saving the taxpayer many dollars in upkeep and property damage. There is no substitute for the personal touch that makes a camper feel welcome and, “at home.” Who else can inform a visitor when and where the fish bite best?
Campground Hosts meet visitors from all walks of life, and often, fellow campers become lasting friends. Many Campground Hosts and campers return to the same campground year after year, sharing stories of new grandchildren, winter activities, and old memories
Duties: Duties vary, but can be a combination of the following: · Live at the campground from mid-May through mid-September · Ability to work well with, and report to, company management · Offer information and explain regulations, such as fee system and campground rules · Verify campers have purchased their site and filled out the proper fee envelope · Educate campers about campground rules and the protection of natural resources. · Maintain and clean campsites, restrooms and day use areas daily · Must provide own living quarters, in a hard-sided vehicle such as a trailer or RV · Willingness to help with light maintenance · Answer visitor questions and provide them with excellent customer service · Participate in interpretive programs and maintaining message centers and bulletin boards
Qualifications: · Friendly and courteous to USFS staff and campground visitors and the ability to communicate clearly with them · Arrive by mid-May and stay through Labor Day · Abide by National Forest regulations and safety guidelines
Our Responsibility: · Prepare and train hosts through orientation, tour and on-the-job training · Provide necessary equipment and supplies · Recognize and reward hosts as valued company staff and team members

Live-In Caregiver Opportunity EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE A HOME AND LIFE WITH PEOPLE WHO HAVE DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES!!!! We are looking for a couple or 2 women (ie: mother-daughter, friends) to be live-in caregivers for two ladies who have developmental disabilities. Prior experience working with people who have disabilities is preferred. In exchange for providing support and assistance, the caregivers will receive a monthly stipend, a place to live (including a separate bedroom, living room and bathroom), use of a vehicle for transportation for the ladies, and 20 hours of weekly staff assistance.
Interested applicants MUST have an income source, and be able to support themselves. If employed currently, the hours cannot be a second shift or overnight. Some of the responsibilities would include assistance with daily living activities, supporting the ladies as they participate in community activities, administering medications, using a variety of communication techniques, assisting with making and transporting to medical appointments, if needed. The live-in caregivers would be certified as Family Care providers by Lifetime Assistance, Inc., and would be provided free initial and on-going annual training as well as on- going support from a dedicated team.
