Hunter Check Station Volunteer - Holopaw, FL

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is seeking volunteers. Oppurtinuty is between September and April, in exchange for a full hookup RV site. We are in Holopaw, FL in central Osceola Co., approximately 18 miles southeast of St. Cloud along Highway US192.

Nearby towns include St. Cloud (~18 miles), Orlando (~50 miles) and Melbourne (~25 miles). We are within an hour's drive of Disney World, Universal Studios, theme parks, and beaches.

There are four full hook-up RV sites with electricity, sewer, and water. The area is very remote, so if you enjoy the outdoors, a rural lifestyle, and outdoor recreation such as hunting and fishing, this may be the place for you!

We have a common trailer for volunteers, which has a refrigerator, stove, restrooms, and laundry facilities. Volunteers' primary duties will be to monitor recreational use on the management area, provide information to the public, and collect biological data. This includes keeping count of hunters and other recreational users, providing information to hunters and recreational users, and collecting biological data from harvested animals. No previous experience is necessary and training will be provided by staff biologists.

However, if hunting is objectionable to you, or if you are relectant to handle dead animals, then you should not apply. In addition to work at the check station, volunteers may assist with facility maintenance and other tasks as needed.

In exchange for hookups and use of facilities, we request at least 32 hours of work each week per campsite. Days of the week worked are somewhat flexible. The heaviest use of the Managment Area occurs from September through December, and consequently, some preference may be given to those people who can arrive early in the season.

Check station shifts can be long days starting early in the morning and running into the night. It is very possible to reach your 32 hours of volunteer time in just 2 or 3 days.

Work Camper - Alamogordo, NM

Couples to work two 9 hour days for a free FHU site and $100 electric allowance. 

Inside duties include reservations, check-in, bathroom cleaning, office work, gift shop, answer phones and greeting guests.  Outside duties include general maintenance, escorting, raking sites, painting, equipment upkeep and guest needs.  Some light cabin repair work.  Looking for entergetic, fun, good with people couples that can work for the next few months.  Need to be available for at least 4 months.  

Innkeepers(s) Needed for a Bed and Breakfast - Aspen, CO

 Inn in Aspen CO is seeking a Full-Time Manager(s) to live on site.  Generous Salary.  We are a 35 room Bed & Breakfast style hotel that prides ourselves on our excellent customer service.  Daily responsibilities include assisting guests with local information, setting up and maintaining breakfast, checking guests in & out and taking reservations. 

Responsibilities to also include day to day desk duties, some light maintenance on property and regular snow removal.  The onsite manager(s) will join a 4 person staff for a year round position and can expect to work an average of 40 hours a week, and would also need to be on-site at night in case of emergencies.  This position will start as soon as possible.  

Innkeeper(s) Needed for Historic Inn - Indianapolis, IN

Our Inn(s) located in the Historic Old northside in downtown Indianapolis is currently seeking an Innkeeper(s). This position is well suited for individuals as well as qualified couples. Great for graduate students or retired couples!  This is a live-in position.

First and foremost the innkeeper(s) is to provide a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere/experience for guests. Additional duties include check-in/out, concierge service, preparing/serving breakfast daily, collecting payments, grounds keeping, laundry, shopping and light maintenance for our 7-10 room boutique inn(s). Successful candidate(s) must be out-going and enjoy meeting people from all over the country and world. The ability to stay customer focused while maintaining a smoothly running inn is a must.

In exchange for the above responsibilities, the innkeeper is compensated with free housing, utilities, and a $1200/month salary. Reservations, housekeeping, billing and maintenance are supported by additional staff with innkeepers covering limited reservation taking hours weekly.

Summer is VERY busy. We are looking for someone who is willing to work or cover the inn 7 days/nights a week (yes you do get some time off but need to cover during our busy season)  Regular weekly time-off hours are covered by on-site managers and support staff.

We are optimally seeking a pleasant active couple who ENJOYS BEING NEEDED AND BUSY, who is excited by this rewarding opportunity and welcomes the multi-tasking nature of bed and breakfast management. GREAT JOB for a couple who likes to be busy, has the gift of gab, owns their own tool box and knows how to use them (just kidding we have tools) has fixed retirement income but would benefit from free housing and is looking to cut living expenses and earn extra income while enjoying downtown Indianapolis. NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BUT HELPFUL or SIMILAR SKILLS NEEDED. Military, Nursing, Law Enforcement retirees are welcome but not required. No smoking!  No pets.
