We have a 350-resident mobile home community in Diamondale, MI. Our beloved, long-term management couple have decided to retire in September of this year. We have an opening suitable for a couple to handle the bookkeeping, lease renewals, rules & regulations enforcement, grounds maintenance, and repairs/rehabs to homes in the community.
Our goal is to fill the position so that they can train alongside our managers for a few months before they retire. Housing and utilities are included as well as a monthly salary.
Windsor Estates Manufactured Home Community is seeking a motivated, hard-working property maintenance person for a beautiful community in the Lansing Area. Applicants should be responsible, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
Maintenance responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Landscape maintenance, cleaning up debris and leaves from the mobile home park streets and common areas
- Cleaning out units and making necessary repairs to park owned homes
- Cleaning and maintaining pool/spa and other facilities, where available
- Managing of the sewer, wastewater lagoons, wells and drain lines
- Preferred employee to live onsite and housing is provided
- Other duties may be assigned
General handyman skills needed include:
- carpentry,
- flooring install,
- electrical,
- plumbing,
- drywall/Paneling,
Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to pass a background check.

Cooks
• Must have some professional cooking experience in and current food safety certification
• Have to cook multiple orders during busy spurts throughout the day and prep during slow times in order to expedite orders quickly while keeping up with the exceptional standards set by management.
• Must be able to take orders from supervisors and continue to work when unsupervised as well as get along with others.
All applicants must be team players and willing to cross train in order to jump in and help each other out in all areas of the Lodge and Resort to keep our customers happy and make their vacation memorable. Pleasant personality and willingness to make everyone feel welcome. Weekends and Holidays are required. Must be able to physically handle various tasks that come up as a part of mountain living, such as lifting, bending, walking & scrubbing.

Campground Hosts/Caretakers - Idaho Falls, ID

Our BOAT CLUB IS LOOKING FOR CARETAKERS for the summer of 2019: We are a beautiful rustic boat club with a one room lodge, furnished caretaker’s cabin, several storage buildings, movable boat docks and very well maintained outhouse restrooms located in the Southeastern Idaho Mountains on Palisades Reservoir near Swan Valley, Idaho.
We are a remote facility, located eight miles off of the paved road, US Highway 26. The reservoir is totally surrounded by National Forest land and does not have any lakefront homes or cabins. Palisades Reservoir, a 16,100 acre reservoir with over 70 miles of limited access shoreline is over 20 miles long. When full, the reservoir is at an elevation of 5620 feet above sea level.
Because of the remoteness of the facility, for safety reasons we prefer that two persons serve as caretakers.
Compensation includes pay and use of the furnished caretaker’s cabin and RV storage parking. Jackson Hole Wyoming, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park, all of which are approximately a 1-1/2 to 3 hour drive from the boat club. On a majority of the weekdays, caretakers will be alone on the Snake River Boat Club premises.
The caretaker’s cabin is furnished and includes a propane stove, refrigerator, catalytic space heater, and water heater. A washing machine is also provided in the cabin as well as a small shower. The wood stove and catalytic heater provide heating and the wood and propane are provided by the club. Storage parking for an RV is provided near the caretaker’s cabin. Caretakers are required to have a personal cell phone to facilitate communication with the Board.
A partial list of duties includes the following:
- Mow the lawn weekly (approximately two acres with riding and power lawn mower.
- Water and maintain the lawn including application of fertilizer and weed control.
- Move docks as necessary using a hand-powered winch system as reservoir water levels rise/fall.
- Check boats and RV’s.
- Maintain a log of gasoline sales and collect money from sales.
- Clean a small one room lodge and associated fireplace.
- Clean two small one-room restrooms and outside fire pit.
- Pickup driftwood from shoreline and boat dock area.
- Prepare sugar water to feed hummingbirds. Sugar is provided by the club.
The season salary is $6,000. This will be paid in increments of $600 every 2 weeks (10 pay periods), with the final check given on last day of contracted dates. 2019 contract dates are May 25 through October 12, 2018. The facility does not have “full hookups” but has spring water supply and the source is tested at the beginning of each season. In addition, most members use solar or intermittent generator usage to maintain battery charges. A dump facility is located approximately 8 miles away near the Pallisades Dam but some member use transfer totes to haul away blackwater or primarly use the site outhouses.
Property Caretaker Position - Mendocino Coast/Northern CA - Point Arena, CA

Do you want to live in a beautiful place in Northern California on the Pacific Ocean?
We are looking for the right couple or individual to live at our rural home on the Mendocino Coast as property caretakers. We are offering a furnished studio apartment in exchange for caretaking. All utilities, including internet access, are included. We also have a bonus plan that may result in a quarterly bonus based on the number of bookings. We had a busy first quarter and our current caretakers received a $2300 bonus. Caretaking responsibilities include gardening and grounds keeping, housecleaning, basic maintenance, and guest reception.
Our home is between Gualala and Point Arena on Highway 1 in southern Mendocino County. It is a 6-acre property with three living units. The main house is 2-bedroom, 2 bath, plus den and dining room. The guest house is 1 bedroom, 2 bath. Both are listed as vacation rentals. We rent only one of the houses at a time. Later this year, we will list both houses as a combined vacation rental for larger groups. We are on-site most weekends and we’re planning a year-long trip starting in August 2020.
The caretaker unit (400 sq. ft) is in the lower level of the main house and has 1 bedroom, 1 bath and a kitchenette/dining area. The kitchen and bathroom have been recently remodeled. The unit also has new flooring, fresh paint, and we’ll be putting in some new windows that will have an ocean view.
Musts include being self-motivated and organized with an attention to detail. Some experience with organic gardening and general plant care is necessary. Handyman skills would be plus, but we will provide training, if needed. Other qualifications include providing good references and passing a background and credit check.Following is a list of key tasks and responsibilities.

Guest House/Vacation rental
- Manage calendar, accept bookings, and communicate with guests.
- Clean & set up guest house for each booking.

Grounds Keeping
- Watering, weeding, deadheading, pruning shrubs and flowers.
- Pick up fallen branches/twigs and store for kindling.
- Cut grass (monthly around house and driveway; twice a year in meadows)
- Take trash and recycle to dump as needed (you can use our truck for this).

Orchard & Vegetable Garden
- Check to be sure watering is adequate.
- Plant, tend, and harvest vegetables and berries.
- Care for fruit trees including pruning, organic sprays, thinning and harvesting.
- Keep area looking “neat” – pull weeds in paths and chipped areas, cut grass periodically (once every 4-6 weeks during the summer).
