Caretaker couple wanted - Gold Coast

Couple Wanted for Multi-seasonal Property Management, near Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada
The Opportunity:
This position is best suited to a hands-on, self-motivated couple willing to work closely with one another in an unstructured environment. The location is a very peaceful and remote wilderness setting of outstanding natural beauty. The property features unique early Canadian buildings that have been lovingly cared for over many years. Required work dates are May 15thst – October 31st 2020. Ideally, the property manager team would return for the 2021 season and for subsequent years. The owners highly value the stability that long-term property managers bring. This is a great position for individuals who travel or work other seasonal jobs during the winter. The property is occupied by the owners for approximately 12 weeks per year and is staffed in the summer months with a seasonal crew that includes a chef, assistant chef, part-time cleaner and maintenance assistant. This is a busy period that will require focus and multi-tasking skills. During the shoulder months, it will be the Property Managers’ responsibility to prepare the property for busy season by conducting spring opening, winter closing and completing infrastructure maintenance projects. Some hands on training will be provided by the retiring Property Managers in the first season.
Requirements:
- Energetic self-starters with sound work ethic. Organized, responsible and service oriented with good communication skills. Background in hospitality and guest services is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair for plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and small engines. A fully equipped garage with tools is provided
- Experience with a chainsaw preferred.
- Some experience in hiring and managing staff, including scheduling, communication and motivation.
- Familiarity with creating an annual budget, performing variance analysis, approving and coding property expenses.
- Experience preferred with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Healthy, physically fit, neat and clean appearance, drug-free with no criminal record. A pre-hire criminal background check will be required.
- Must have current emergency first aid certification and a Canada Boat Smart License (or agree to obtain both before starting contract.)
- Must have valid Canadian driver’s license (at least one person)
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Primary Duties: Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Spring opening of all buildings in preparation for the busy season. Cleaning, painting and repair as required. Packing and winterizing buildings and plumbing in the Fall.
- Provide an on-site presence at all times during guest season. It is top priority that guests experience gracious, warm and discreet service.
- Ongoing cleaning and janitorial duties, and oversight of staff in this area. There is a weekly “turn-over” day of guest lodging as facilities are prepared for incoming groups.
- Grounds maintenance: mowing, leaf blowing, planting and maintenance of flower and vegetable gardens, brush collection and removal.
- Extensive trail clearing and maintenance of a 10 km private road with assistance of local staff.
- Transferring fuel, monitoring storage tank fuel levels.
- Maintenance/repairs on buildings, small engines and equipment as needed.
- Cleaning and maintenance of boats, canoes, and other recreational watercraft.
- Oversight of garbage disposal and removal
- Hiring and management of seasonal housekeepers and chefs; assisting chefs if needed.
- Hiring and management of local service providers/contractors when needed.
- Liaising with local community stakeholders as a representative of the owners.
- Weekly reporting of property activity to the owners’ off-site representatives. Yearly reporting to owners.
- Creation of and adherence to seasonal budget including expense coding and reporting to accounting staff. Creation of a capital improvement plan for long-term implementation.
PAY: Salary to be negotiated based on experience
ACCOMODATION: Housing is provided in a private caretaker’s cottage. Meals will be provided during the summer guest season.
TRANSPORTATION: A work truck and fuel are provided for duration of contract.
AMENITIES: Satellite internet, phone with unlimited Canada wide long distance calling. Staff have use of canoes and a staff fishing boat, hiking trails, swimming, etc when off hours.
Campground Couple for Maintenance, Office & Bartending - Lyndon Station , WI

Our Seasonal Camp-Resort is seeking a responsible hard-working couple to fulfill campground jobs.
We need someone able to do lawn maintenance, hauling brush and splitting wood. Our Campground has 160 sites. Many sites are of new construction and will need black dirt laid and grass planted. We need someone with a strong back, and knowledge of lawn equipment, chainsaws, wood splitters and skid steers beneficial but not required. We also need someone to help with office tasks, checking guests in at the office and assistance with scheduled events. Either one member of the couple or possibly both would also need to bartend on Friday and Saturday evenings. Holiday weekends we would need a bartender on Sundays as well. We have a camper that the couple can stay in while they work here or if they have their own camper we have an available site to put them in. Wages, hours and accommodations negotiable. We are located 5 miles north of Wisconsin Dells WI. It's a great location with a lot of nightlife, restaurants, attractions, and festivals.
FEATURED JOB OPENING: Lodge/Resort Manager Couple - Northern Idaho, ID

Remote Resort in the Northern Idaho Wilderness is seeking a full time couple for resort management. This is a 12 month full-time opportunity with 3 months off during (December through Febuary) that is paid. Housing is provided year round and basic utitlities included.
We are rustic, older waterfront resort with a variety of cabins, motel units, a campground, pool and hot tubs. During peak season we also operate a small general store, bar and grill. We are looking for the perfect couple to manage day to day operations. Ideally at least one person will be handy (able to fix and/or trouble shoot maintainence type issues). This is a very time consuming and demanding job during the busy summer months, and much slower in the spring and fall. Both parties must be able to work very long hours for several days at a time (especially during the busy months). Some basic job requirements include but are not limited to: the ability to multi-task, manage other employees, manage and/or help with ordering, excellent customer-service skills, attention to detail, computer literacy and comfortabilty, excellent cleaning and organizational skills, dependability, strong work ethic, trustworthy, independent, self-starter with the ability to take initiative, the ability to work well with others- staff and customers, and the ability to perform physically demanding work such as cleaning and basic maintainence. A passion for the outdoors and remote locations will be helpful.
Daily Operations between the couple include (but are not limited to): Front desk operation (including the store, laundry, answering phone calls and assisting guests, daily laundry, stocking, cleaning, and helping to oversee bar/grill). Ideally this position for a couple will include one person who can manage more of the front desk, store, and main lodge operations while the other can manage more of the grounds keeping, cleaning services, and general maintainence.
We are looking for someone(s) who loves the area, loves the outdoors, and thrives in remote locations. The ideal couple will take pride in their work and pride in the operations, appearance, and overall management of the resort and demonstrate so in day to day operations and have the desire to stay long-term.
Must be non-smoking and because of the location and logistics this is not ideal for a couple with children.

Home Parents (HP) provide nurturing and caring professional parenting interactions for 6-7 youth in care. Interactions and responses to youth are informed by knowledge of the complex issues faced by youth in care and by an understanding that youth need to be equipped to resolve their family issues and to prepare themselves for future success.
Essential Job Functions:
•HPs will learn and use Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Principles of Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting.
•HPs will learn strength-based approaches with youth and families and will utilize the language and procedures with youth and family members, particularly when addressing goal attainment.
•HPs will administer medications as directed by physician, will maintain up to date and accurate records of all medications administered.
•HPs will ensure scheduling for all of youth’s required appointments and will be available to transport youth for therapy, medical, dental, or other appointments. If an appointment must be missed the HP will notify the appropriate person with as much advance notice as possible.
•HPs will attend and participate in Monday all-staff meetings, shift change meetings, trainings and all other relevant meetings as assigned.
•HPs will lead family meetings once a week to bring unity, organization of schedule, and healing in the home for areas of conflict, teaching nurture and life-value skills.
•HPs will maintain the home so that it is suitable for state inspections at any given time.
•HPs will work cooperatively with team members to ensure responsibilities are being carried out.
•HPs will involve youth in responsibilities of chores and in the creation of weekly menus and food purchasing.
•HPs will follow the Educational Program recommendations for youth. HPs will maintain school documentation, attend school meetings, update others on the team, provide quiet space for study-time, ensure youth attends tutoring on a timely basis, engage with teachers, complete with the youth SWEP forms when needed and will check the on-line grade report to encourage the youth that is struggling with school or grades.
•HP will inform the GHS (or receptionist – when agreed upon) when away from the home.
•HP will share supervision responsibilities of youth across all activities and campuses, such as at the playground, tutoring, physician visit, and outings.
•HP will perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
•Must be able to work a pre-determined rotation schedule of 2 weeks on duty and 1 week off
•Must attend all staff meetings on Monday
•Must be able to work extended days or hours when necessary
•May be required to provide awake-night staffing in emergency situations
•Must regularly be on call for the group home children when on duty
•Work environment is high energy, high stress including the possibility of verbal and or physical aggression from youth in care
•Moderate risk of exposure to infectious diseases
•Must be able to see, hear and respond to youth in multiple settings
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field from an accredited college or university is preferred. A minimum of a high school diploma is required, plus one or more years of experience in working with children or youth. Individual must be at least 21 years of age.
Knowledge and Skills:
