Rural 400 acre ranch in Maine needs to hire a couple team for their family horse rescue operation. This is a full-time, live-on site position managing a 20 plus horse rescue farm while maintaining the indoor arena, barns, corrals, pastures, home, grounds, roads and all structures on the property. Seeking an experienced hardworking couple who are comfortable with horses. The farm needs an overall strong manager to work as a team with the existing staff of eight. Work within a budget while keeping accurate and detailed records. Hire, train and supervise support staff as needed. This family owned farm is seeking someone who has some horse knowledge and a willingness to work hard to provide the best possible care for the animals while understanding the position isn’t all about the horses. This position requires flexibility and willingness to care and manage the overall 400 acre property, maintaining the equipment, the grounds, roads, fences, pastures, paddocks, structures and barns. If a couple is hired the spouse could work with the horses assisting with all aspects of the daily animal care including exercising, feeding, watering, leading and grooming in the manner prescribed by farm owners. Must have experience working for a private employer and caring for a large property with assortment of animals. We are seeking a proactive individual capable of anticipating and acting on the needs of the employers and their horses. Someone with an eye for detail who is extremely organized and proactive self starter. Position requires coordination with existing staff to ensure continuous care of horses seven days a week and an appreciation that this is a lifestyle choice. Salary commensurate with experience with possible benefits and other perks.

Entry level ranch couple team - Tucson, AZ

Ranch Couple Team needed to assist and work under existing couple who have worked at the ranch for the last eight years. Groom them for their position in a few years. The man should be a jack of all trades with exceptional maintenance skills; basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and groundskeeping. Care for the landscaping around buildings and two pools. Driving when needed; purchasing supplies and airport shuttles. The woman will do full housekeeping and laundry providing guest service for main house and the five guest suites. Cleanliness is important and the ability to provide hotel like service to owner and guests when visiting; up to 20 guests at a time. Assist with the care of all ranch animals including birds. Equine skills are a plus; lead trail rides, groom, exercise. The couple must be comfortable living in a remote location; 60 miles southwest of Tucson. Housing on property provided, health benefits. Salary commensurate with experience-willing to train a younger inexperienced team with a good work ethic and desire to provide discrete service to a private family. No children or dogs allowed.

Couple needed to help with tourists on Beautiful Horse Farm in Hudson Valley - Hudson Valley, NY

My husband and I have a 27 acre property Accord, NY, 2 hrs N of NYC. We have five vacation rentals on our property. We also have a good number of animals; 5 horses, a flock of chicken, kittens, cats and 3 large dogs. We have a large vegetable garden and small green house. I am a choreographer and trained architect, my husband is a builder, horseman and hydraulic repairman.

We are in need of a couple that would be interested in helping us.

We need help as soon as possible!

The work includes making reservations, preparing the accommodations, cleaning, cooking breakfast for the guests, organizing pizza parties, showing guests around the farm, gardening and care of the small animals.

Where we live is a paradise, beautiful land, quiet and somewhat remote, but close to good restaurants, galleries, stores, etc.

We enjoy meeting new people and there are always a steady flow as our vacation rentals and long term renters are all interested in sharing ideas and a bottle of wine by a big bonfire. We have wonderful dinners and often these turn into impromptu parties that go into the night. You will have a lot of fun here!

We have one bedroom available in our home for you.

At one time our property was the center of a 300 acre Dairy Farm. The Big House was originally the Dairy Barn. Great care was taken to save the original Chestnut Beams and the rustic country feel of the home. The living room is a double height space with a giant map of the world on which we like to mark the homes of all of our guests. It has two couches and Satellite TV. The country kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, range and dish washer and kitchen basics provided. A full bathroom and laundry room are also on the first floor.

Depending on your level of experience and skill pay would be btw $400-$800 per month, we provide room and board and expect btw 5-8 hrs 5 days per week.

Minimum job requirements:

Prior Senior Living Management experience of 3 years for Community Asst. Managers; including operational and financial experience in managing employees, customer service, purchasing, payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
Willingness and ability to relocate and live at any of our 17 Communities.
Willingness and ability to live on-site in an assigned shared apartment.
Must be 21 years of age.
