Manage a Class A facility in beautiful Fredericksburg - Fredericksburg, TX

Texan Self Storage is currently seeking to fill the full time position of Facility Manager and part time Assistant Manager. We are looking for a couple that is energetic, detail-oriented and has the desire to be team players. The managers will ensure smooth daily operation of our class A facility in Fredericksburg, Texas, and is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Rental of storage units/increasing occupancy
- Managing accounts receivables (collections)
- Merchandise sales
- Delivering superior customer service through proper telephone and in-person contact with a positive attitude
- Aggressive grass roots marketing to promote the company in the community
- Making daily bank deposits accurately
- A valid and current driver's license is required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Cleaning and maintenance work required
- Must be able to work Saturdays
- Computer and keyboarding skills are required
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Must have own reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
- Previous Self Storage or Property Management preferred but not mandatory

We are in need of a couple to work 20hrs per week (1 DAY) for a 50/30amp full hook up site. There is NOT a salary with this position.
You will receive free wi-fi, trash service and water. The park has a fishing lake, swimming pool and laundry room which you may use.
The park has 35 rv sites, 3 cabins, and several tent sites.
Start March 1st and work until Nov.30th 2014. Might consider April 1st until Oct 31st.
Must be flexible on the work schedule. Sometimes we need a different day off or help with something. The two man crew does not always work.
Must be self motivated and able to enforce park rules.
One will be responsible for the office area. Some of the job duties are, but not limited to, running the cash register, checking in customers, answering phone calls, taking reservations, cleaning of bathroom / shower faciilities.
Other person will be responsible for all outside duties. Some of those duties are, leading customers with golf cart to the site, cleaning of the pool (A machine does most of the work) , dumping trash cans throughout the park, weed-eating, cleaning out the fire pits and grills, cleaning the bathroom / showers.

Seeking a live in couple to co-manage events, maintain gardens and grounds, and care for house and furnishings at the McLean Park and House, a 1927 Reception/meeting center in West Linn, Oregon.
About the Position
The Friends of the McLean Park and House seek an energetic couple to manage and maintain the house, grounds and the events of the facility for a variety of groups and organizations.
Primary responsibilities:
- Clean, maintain and secure the house and property.
- Maintain lawns and gardens.
- Arrange and conduct tours and complete facility use agreements with prospective customers.
- Administer, coordinate, and schedule events of the park and house.
- Oversee any service providers for events and other occasions.
- Provide timely communication, orderly reports, and records with the Friends, clients and related resources.
- Assist with volunteer and community services
The completion of some of these tasks may be accomplished with the assistance of paid services, volunteers, work parties, special crews, parks staff and other resources, at Board discretion.
Compensation
In exchange for the above stated responsibilities, the Managers receive use of a private, rent-free apartment, a small monthly salary, and the potential for event-related variable pay and bonuses.
The private living space is a one-bedroom second floor apartment, with kitchen and family room. Utilities (water, sewer, electric, heat), Internet, and parking for two cars is included. Storage space is provided in the basement area.
The McLean House
The McLean House is a three story (plus basement), 17-room home built by Dr. Edward McLean in 1927. In 1969, the McLean Family donated the 2-½ acre property on a bluff overlooking the Willamette River to the City of West Linn for use as a park and reception center. The house and park are available for rental for a wide variety of purposes, including weddings, receptions, meetings, business meeting, church services, classes and other events. The property is owned by the City of West Linn and operated under the jurisdiction of the West Linn Parks and Recreation Department.
The Friends of the McLean Park and House
The Friends are a non-profit volunteer organization formed in 1981 to restore and maintain the house and property. Under a formal agreement with the City of West Linn, the Friends operate and manage the house and grounds as a community gathering facility for weddings, meetings, celebrations, parties, educational programs, business meeting and special events.
The Ideal Candidates
The Friends of the McLean Park and House are seeking a couple with enthusiasm for our goals, a willingness to work hard and the following skills and characteristics:
- Organized and enjoys coordinating and managing a variety of events and projects.
- Eager to collaborate with the Friends in their efforts to continually upgrade and enhance the house and park for public use.
- Self-motivated to keep the house and property clean, well groomed, and well maintained.
- Anticipates needed services for the public’s satisfaction and ensures details are completed in a timely and routine fashion.
- Communicates effectively in writing, email, phone, and in person.
- Develops and utilizes community resources (volunteers and work parties, for instance) alongside the Friends board.
Employment Status
The Managers are engaged as employees of the Friends of McLean Park and House and report to members designated by the Board President. Managers will enter into a written agreement with the Friends of the McLean Park and House Board which outlines the specific terms and conditions of the jobs responsibilities.
Essential Functions of the Position
The manager role is hands-on, and physically active. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs, operate power equipment, visually inspect equipment and materials and observe the conduct of guests from a distance of 30-40 feet.
