Hunting Ranch Managing Couple - near La Pryor, TX

Seeking an experienced, full-time Hunting Ranch Managing Couple, near La Pryor, TX. This private 4,000 acre ranch is level 3 MLDP. The position is for a self-motivated, honest, hard working couple with a positive attitude. Manager must have a sharp eye for details and understanding preventative maintenance is the catalyst for longevity. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions and occasional long hours during the hunting season. The couple must be non-smokers and complete random drug screens.
Manager Responsibilities: (not limited to) - maintenance on all ranch equipment and vehicles - ability to maintain roads - monitoring and repairing fences, blinds, feeders, structures - maintaining water wells, pumps, lines and troughs - continue successful MLDP project and work closely with Wildlife Biologist - designing and setting up hunting areas - predator control or eradication projects - keeping detailed records for expenses and MLDP project - tracking animal movements, patterns and counts - vegetation treatments/chemical applications - guest assistance during hunts - locating and cleaning animals during hunts - following and informing safety measures for guests and vendors - basic knowledge of plumbing & electrical - Welding, fabricating and some Spanish a plus
Wife Responsibilities: (not limited to) - customer service for owners and guests - clean and organized - housekeeping duties for cabins, managers house and cook shack - meal preparations, serving and cleaning for owners and guests - assist with ranch duties as needed Compensation: - Salary - $35,000-$45,000 (depending on experience) - housing and utilities - ranch vehicle - benefits
This position is a “One Man Operation” with the owners understanding some projects will need additional labor services.

RV Park Work Camper Couple - Rockport, TX

We have a long term work camper position open for an RVing couple looking to settle down for a while. One work camper's duties will be in Maintenance. The spring/summer season will be the busiest time with site maintenance (mowing, weed eating, etc. which will dominate your time in the summer) plus cleaning laundry rooms, restrooms and showers. The management couple will perform a variety of on-site supervisory and administrative functions while also being responsive to the resort owner.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Serves as resort’s onsite point of contact with responsibility for hospitality-related functions including, guest check in and check out, inventory, guest inquiries or complaints
• Supervises maintenance and landscaping needs and manages staff to immediately address mechanical issues including electrical, plumbing, laundry equipment, A/C, appliances, diesel generator, etc.
• Ensures that resort is safe, clean and well maintained
• Directs, supervises and evaluates work of resort staff and makes personnel employment decisions, as necessary
• Accurately plans and budgets time and financial resources
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in hotel management/engineering or comparable education with ten years' experience is required
• Excellent skills in leadership, fostering teamwork and verbal and written communications are essential
• Must have exceptional knowledge of facility engineering and general construction; a sharp eye for details and the ability to handle on site projects
• Proficiency in MS Office with a working knowledge of related computer systems and software
• Strong working knowledge of developing budgets and organizational time planning
• Able to handle pressure during stressful situations and exhibit large amounts of patience and caring for guests and employees while providing excellent customer service
• Must be creative, physically active, non-smoking, drug-free and be able to accommodate a flexible schedule
• As the position will have fiduciary responsibilities, applicants must have verifiable good credit, references will be checked.
