POSITION FUNCTION/OVERVIEW: The primary purpose of this position is to establish a home-like environment so clients (children & youth) can learn life skills, how to deal with problems and observe positive life activities. The group home parent is a professional parent who sets a good example of adult behaviors.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: ? Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in a Human Services related field. (Degree requirements may be waived on a case by case basis with approval from the Compliance Officer. At a minimum, all Group Home Parents will be required to have a High School Diploma or GED and significant experience working with children.) ? Two (2) years of experience providing direct services to children, youth and their families. ? Certification in CPR, First Aid ? Must pass level 2 background clearance and drug test ? Glenwood Academy is over 127 years old organization located 30 miles south of Chicago on a beautiful residential campus. Glenwood has evolved from a manual training school for dependent boys to a comprehensive education and supportive residential program for boys and girls focused on academic success and leadership.
House Parents play a central role in the students’ lives as caregivers, role models, and motivators. The primary role of House Parents is to nurture, educate and parent each student entrusted in their care. Cottage homes consist of approximately 12 students ranging from 7- 17 years old. House Parents work to create a family-like atmosphere in the cottage homes and provide both quality one-on-one and group time with the children to develop self-worth. The House Parents oversee the basics of the students’ daily living. House Parents collaborate with managers, teachers, administrators, and parent/guardians to facilitate student success.

Onsite Management/Maintenance Team for small RV Park. - Rockport, TX
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
Couple to manage a small RV park in beautiful Rockport, TX. The park opened in March of 2012. The Rockport area is a beautiful resort area on the Texas Gulf Coast. This is a permanent year round position and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.
This is an onsite position and you need to have your own RV. We have 53 sites and 4 cabins. As a team you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the park. We run Campground Master Software to handle the park reservations and income for the park. You will also be responsible for cleaning the small activity room and two bathrooms and the cabins as needed. The cabins are one room and bathroom similar to a studio apartment. There are two small pools, side by side that need to be cared for (we have an awesome dolphin robotic cleaner). You will also be taking care of the grounds. We have a zero turn mower and they currently mow the park in one day. There is very little weed eating as we spray to kill weeds in certain areas. There is also the occasional minor maintenance to handle but all major maintenance is handled by the park owners.
This is a monthly park with only occasional daily or weekly guest. Thirty-six of our 53 sites are rented year round to guest who are mostly fisherman and while their RV’s are here, they are mainly just here on weekends. The other sixteen sites are rented six month in the summer and 5-6 months in the winter. We are fully booked and have a waiting list to get into our park. This is an easy park to manage and is mostly a part-time job. The office is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and open 10 - 4 (closed for an hour for lunch) on Thursday – Saturday and Monday and only open 10 – 1 on Sunday.
The position offers you a full hook up site to include electric, water, cable TV & Wi-Fi as part of your pay package, along with a small salary.
