An Independent Retirement Community management company is looking for Management Teams (an opportunity to work with your spouse, partner, or committed relationship sharing a provided Apartment) to work as part of a 2 person team.
We have two communities with openings, Point Pleasant Retirement Community (North Versailles, PA) and The Residence at Logan (Bethel Park, PA). As part of our unique operating style, we have 4 managers that work as part of a 2 person team. Each team works a schedule of one week on (7 days, 24 hours on site) and one week off. The position is similar to an apartment manager. The difference is that in serving our senior residents, managers are responsible for overseeing the daily operation of our community, sales and marketing, active involvement in community activities and events to enhance resident satisfaction, assist with daily meal service,
Qualifications include: Previous management experience, prior experience serving senior citizens, computer competency, and willingness to live on-site and be on-call during scheduled duty periods. This is an active, hands-on position. Since we have a 4 manager team concept, we take advantage of the talents and skills of each manager to serve our residents. For example, some managers are great with resident activities, some are great at sales and marketing, some are very handy and can perform maintenance tasks, some are good cooks and can take an active role in our dining program, plus many more opportunities—we will use your abilities in service to our residents.

Some managers live on-site, even when not on duty, to take advantage of the additional benefit of not paying rent and utilities. Other managers have their own home and spend their off time at their personal residence.

On-site Campground Night Supervisor(s) - Comox, BC

Responsibilities: When you are at the Hotel, you will be a primary representative of our boutique brand and hotels. This is a lifestyle career, not a shift position. Tasks will include guest reservations (phone and online), guest engagement and touchpoints, checking guests in/out, hospitality and concierge services, social media, categorizing receipts and invoices, administrative tasks, inspection of rooms and possible housekeeping, supervision and coordination of staff, breakfast preparation including set-up, maintenance and cleanup, daily hotel opening, seasonal hotel open and closing tasks and other tasks related to the operation of the property. We will provide training.
Qualifications: Reliability and professionalism is an absolute must. The right candidates will be friendly, hard-working, forward-thinking, versatile, self-starters, detail-oriented, trustworthy, able to receive feedback, able to efficiently manage time and able to work as part of a team. Must be able to lift 35lbs. Familiarity of Nantucket, its culture, events and geography is preferred.
Days/hours: Hours will fall between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm and will require weekend shifts and on-call hours.
Start date: On or about October 2016 for training.
Opportunity: This first months of the position will be training under the current general managers for the remainder of 2016. The current general managers will train in all aspects of running the two properties including physical plant systems, Lark Hotel systems and documents, staffing, budgeting, conceirge, ordering, baking, prep, menus and so much more! These two properties are extremely well run and our intent is to have them continue to operate as they have for the last couple of years.
