We have an immediate and exciting opportunity for a resident management TEAM to direct a state-of-the-art self storage facility in Lakewood, California. This is a great chance to get on board with a leader in the self storage industry.
We are looking for an honest team that works well together and presents a professional image. The ability to sell storage effectively (in-person and over-the-phone) and manage a medium sized facility is a must. The qualified candidates will be savvy on the computer and be knowledgeable with Word, Excel and Outlook. Some maintenance and cleaning duties are also required. Must have a good credit history and pass a drug test & background check.
This is a resident position, meaning that the managers will live on-site in a spacious apartment. Rent and utilities (except phone and cable) are included in the employment package, along with a competitive salary range, depending on the level of experience. We also have a bi-monthly bonus program, health benefits, paid vacation, holidays and sick time.
Self storage experience is a plus, but not essential. If your team has lots of energy, the drive to succeed, and likes to work independently. this may be opportunity you have been looking for.
Our company is very progressive in terms of training and marketing. We have high expectations but also give you the tools to meet them. We offer a stable work environment and 2 days off per week. We have a low amount of employee turnover at our facilities for a good reason.
Job Duties:
- Process Move-Ins and Move-Outs and complete lease agreements.
- Assist customers with leasing process and reviewing the rental process.
- Customer relations: constant interaction with customers and sell/show storage space.
- Sales of merchandise: boxes, packing supplies, etc.
- General Office: administrative work, data entry, answer phones and update files, process closes.
- Participate with marketing and advertising of the facility.
- Market Surveys: conduct market surveys to competitive Self Storage stores in area.
- Collection duties: call on any past due balances and collect late fees.
- Light maintenance/cleaning of facility and daily walk-through of property.
- Community networking and participation at local events
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in the Self-Storage industry, retail or sales.
- Computer literate with MS Office (Word/Excel and Outlook) and SiteLink (or Self Storage Internet based software).
- Excellent sales and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and be able to complete custodial duties such as: sweeping, hauling trash and cleaning.
- Valid driver's license, current auto insurance and clean driving record is required for this position.

We are an owners Resort with an HOA. We have certain restrictions regarding RV’s; that being the RV must be at least 22’ in length and it must be no older than 10 years. For RVs older than 10 years, you are required to submit photos to us for review. Exceptions have been made. We offer a gated entry, paved roads throughout, and all sites have a standard 20’X70’ concrete pad. All sites are full hook-ups with 20, 30, and 50 AMP services. We also have high-speed internet and cable TV at the pedestal. We have a heated swimming pool and hot tub, a fitness center, steam and sauna rooms, and massage chairs to enjoy on your off time.
We like to promote a “team” atmosphere here. Jobs/tasks include but are not limited to housekeeping, landscaping, office assistance, light maintenance and helping with activities at the clubhouse. We try to match camp workers with the duties they are best skilled in, however, you must be willing to perform all, and any tasks needed. A workcamper couple is required to work 20 hours (each) a week in exchange for a FHU site. (An $1100 value per month). If you are a single work camper, 40 hours are required. The minimum requirement we ask for is a three-month commitment. A background check is required to join our team. I have positions starting July 2020 and going through the end of 2021.

McBC is 24+- miles West of Padre Island National Seashore, 35 +- Miles North of the Large King Ranch (largest Privately owned ranch in the U.S.A.) in Kingsville, and a hundred or so miles North of 'South Padre Island' and Mexico (DON'T GO). And, If you Fish, Ths Portion of South Texas is a 'Fishing Paradise'.
No getting up at all hours to open gates, letting people in, no 'Checking them In and Out', no leading them to sites, and no Office Hours, mainly just moweing, weed-eating, some light maintenance on my buildings and driveways, while Always 'Watching' to keep McBC, my Lessee's, and YOU, Safe.
This is NOT a 'Hard Work' job,( say 12-16 hrs a week) I just Expect to be 'Treated Fair', for the Free RV site.
You would need a Sourse of Income, because I Offer NO Pay. But, Jobs are plentiful in S. Texas.

We are a Colorado nonprofit dedicated to providing access to nature for people of all abilities and their caregivers. We have mountain property located at 45924 Highway 285, Grant (elevation 8,606), Colorado 80448 with accessible hiking, camping (sites and cabins), and fishing. Our facility features a mile-long boardwalk designed to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. We are looking for a new couple to be facility managers to live onsite during the 2020 season to welcome guests, lead volunteers, maintain the facility, and manage property events. New couple will be training with current manager couple that will be retiring during 2020 season.
Job Description
? Manage, operate, and maintain the facility in-season for 2020 (generally runs from Memorial Day until October 15th, as weather permits and as long as the water system is operable)
? Check in and register all guests to the facility, provide receipts as requested and copies of all WOW rules and regulations. If any guests or donors provide updated contact information for mailing lists, VMT shall relay such information to us.
? Cleaning all campsites, cabins, huts, gazebos, and bathrooms, as well as the shed, laundry room and all other grounds
? Emptying fire pits and charcoal cookers, restocking wood piles and cutting wood as necessary
? Restocking bathroom supplies and keeping the supply room stocked
? Based upon the direction and discretion of our Board of Directors organize events on the facility, including but not limited to Family Fun Day and the Music Festival and shall serve as ambassadors for WOW in the local community, maintaining outreach and partnerships
? Doing laundry and keeping all stored bedding clean, placing and emptying garbage receptacles, ordering weekly trash pick-ups and burning trash as necessary
? Scheduling annual sewer and septic checks and cleanings
? Ordering fish annually in the Spring, which are donated by Colorado Parks and Recreation
? Responsible for executing (hire contractors, or lead volunteers):
? Maintaining all tools, lawn mowers, golf carts, and trickle chargers for batteries
? Keeping all driveways, roads and parking lots graded
? Mowing and trimming grass, bushes and trees as necessary
? Repairing picnic tables, benches and boardwalks
? Handle all expenses related to the management of the facility which include but are not limited to the repair, upkeep and replacement of all our buildings, vehicles and equipment, insurance on our buildings and vehicles, office supplies, professional printing as needed, a land-line telephone, and a portion of VMT’s cellular telephone
? Maintain, clean, organize, and operate the office, gift shop and office restroom from 9:00am – 6:00pm during the Season. This shall include answering the telephone and responding to emails on a daily basis, handling all payment transactions and maintaining credit card equipment, depositing any cash, and mailing checks to the WOW Treasurer as necessary
? Promptly manage all complaints and other problems that may arise, including the possible ejections of unruly campers from the facility, and shall maintain first aid items and emergency numbers on the facility
? Provide a limited number of Services during the off-season, with such Services specifically limited to maintaining the calendar, answering telephone calls regarding client inquiries, and taking campsite reservations
