Housekeeper & Grounds Maintenance - Crosslake, MN
WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We have a family oriented 13-Cabin Resort on Star Lake, with guests and their families returning annually for the past 60 years since it’s founding in 1946. We have 3 Workamper sites with full hookup (water, sewer, 50amp electricity) along with $10 monthly towards laundry per RV, plus an hourly wage of $12/hour for your time and effort in helping make our 2023 season the best yet!
We are currently seeking Workampers for one Grounds Maintenance and several Housekeeping positions from 4/11 - 10/14/23. Our Housekeepers start with Spring Cleaning, consisting of 30 hours per week as we prepare all cabins for the season for 5-7 weeks. Then we transition to 10-15 hours weekly, primarily on Saturday and Sundays between our guests' checkout and before the next guests check-in later those days. We are thorough but efficient as we clean all cabins each weekend.
Our Grounds Maintenance position we’re seeking to fill with the right candidate as well, but also looking for someone who doesn’t mind getting pulled into Housekeeping as needed. The Maintenance position consists of 30-35 hours during the Spring and Fall, and then transitions to 15-20 hours per week mowing, trimming, cleaning boats, fueling boats, and trash removal, on Saturdays and Sundays. You'll have similar shifts, to make sure you both can explore during your time off together. During the Spring and Fall months we have more Grounds hours as we’re able to do more projects/repairs when fewer guests are here. These include maintenance projects: staining cabins, repairs, and grounds work.
During your time off you can enjoy hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, carpetball, and corn hole. Star Lake is a quiet lake in the Crosslake area, where the fishing is great and the R&R is even better. We're the only public access onto the lake, with a wilderness preserve directly across from us. Also, enjoy the loon calls echoing across Star Lake as you fully marinade in the Land of 10,000 Lakes! We are a 7 minute drive from the quaint town of Crosslake, in the highly sought-out Brainerd Lakes Area of Minnesota, with great boutique shopping, delicious restaurants, and endless adventures on the Paul Bunyan Trail.
