Bar Harbor Camping Resorts (Acadia National Park Area) 2023 Workampers Wanted - Bar Harbor, ME

We are currently accepting applications for leads at Mt Desert Narrows (couple preferred), in addition to maintenance, reservations, and security positions. At Narrows Too, housekeeping positions available, and Patten Pond has maintenance, reservations, housekeeping, and security positions.

Responsibilities will vary but may include processing reservations, customer service, helping with activities, cleaning (rentals, bathhouses, sites), and yard work (some heavy lifting required). Full season is May to October, but shorter seasons are available at all our three campgrounds.

Wages vary by position, but every hour worked is paid. Work weeks vary between 28-40 hours, rotating morning/night shifts, 4 to 5 days, depending on demand. All employees receive deeply discounted sites ($240/30 days including 50 amp electric, cable, and WiFi) and guaranteed two days off in a row. A background check and a valid driver's license are required.

This position's responsibilities include:

Creating a welcoming environment for guests to feel special and create lasting good memories on their getaway
Working odd hours or split shifts and covering for others who may call in sick, etc.
Booking fishing charters, bearviewing, sightseeing and other tours
Making sure coffee is on most mornings if applicable
Overall attention to detail of spaces, decorations, plants, cleanliness inside and outside
Able to carry luggage up 2-3 flights of stairs, if needed
Comfortable using a computer
Comfortable making conversation with guests
Training staff members, if needed
Maintain quality & cleanliness standards by making frequent walk throughs of spaces and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance
Good Communication with team members
Oversee upkeep and maintenance of property and appliances by coordinating with Maintenance Man and contractors
Periodically fixing a TV, a cable box, plunging a toilet, changing a light bulb, etc...
Bookkeeping
Checking supplies and inventory
Guest Check-In and Check-Out
Managing guest compliments and complaints
Cleaning Rooms & Common areas, if housekeeper is not available; but mainly overseeing and managing housekeeping schedules and details so hopefully it's not often
Laundry
Light gardening or snow removal as needed; maintenance can help with this but early checkouts sometimes need attention
General maintenance of Website
Assisting in responding to online reviews
Daily emails and inquires
Researching and Establishing Rates and Changes to Rates if applicable
Positive Attitude
No pets or smoking

Ideally the job would be 40 hours per week so that you can enjoy our beautiful state. Overtime would apply. The rate of pay would be negotiable depending on experience and include Lodging or space for your recreational vehicle. A vehicle would be available for any work related activities.

Hickory Lake Campground Caretaker(s) - Aitkin, MN

The caretaker position is responsible for all functions of the campground including: Daily pool maintenance, cleaning, and testing. CPO certification desired (HLC will pay for training). Ensuring all cleaning and general maintenance tasks are completed daily. Mowing, trimming, grounds upkeep. Maintenance including light plumbing or electrical. Good communication skills and basic computer skills needed. April to early October. 40 hours PW. Compensation for all hours worked. FHU site provided.
