Campground Manager and Groundsperson Couple Wanted (Wolcottville, IN)

Gordon’s Campground in Wolcottville, IN (45 Minutes North of Fort Wayne, Indiana) is seeking to fill a Manager and Groundsman position to facilitate the daily operations of a 400+ campsite seasonal campground. The position would begin in April 2013 for an on-site, experienced, self-motivated couple. As you will work with the public, a friendly approachable demeanor is essential.  Our campground is busy with both seasonal campers and weekend campers.

Office duties require an individual that possess a friendly demeanor with excellent communication and organizational skills that can problem solve and follow guidelines. Duties include but are not limited to: proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Campground Master, some bookkeeping, taking reservations, greeting guests, taking payments on accounts, electric meter reading, and daily communication with management. Outdoor duties requires an individual who will be capable of handling daily property upkeep/maintenance, lawn care (mowing and trimming), pool care, as well as the general upkeep of the park. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, pools and carpentry is a plus. Other duties include enforcing rules and regulations; some cleaning is required for the rental cabins and campers as well as the camp store that includes a snack shack.  Some errands running is required.  Couple needs to be able to supervise and schedule work duties for employees. Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.  This is a full-time position for both people.

Couple should have prior RV/campground management experience.

Compensation: Depends on experience $1750-$2500/month plus site included.  Wi-fi, trash, electric, water included.

Live-In Teaching Couple - Marquette, MI

Servicing troubled children for over 31 years, Teaching Family Homes provides care for children starting at the age of 5 through 18 with the hope of the children returning to their families or transition into foster care homes. We are a non-profit organization and are located in Marquette, Michigan on the shore of Lake Superior.

We are seeking married couples to work in our homes with 8 children. We have four homes on our campus and one home off campus. We staff three homes with married couples, that are supported by staff and two homes are shift staff to allow for consistency for the children and adequate time off for staff. Teaching Family Homes uses the Teaching Family Model of childcare. Our forty acre campus included a school, home, recreational facilities, hiking and snowshoe trails and the administrative office.
