Wanting to refresh our 7 room inn with new management and web/tech system.  Looking for design, integration, and maintenance for website/listings.  Responsibilities would include communication with guests on site & online, Check out damage control, staging for check in, scheduling for cleaning & pool cleaning staff, assistance with upsales (massage/classes/experience/products). Some laundry, interior/exterior maintence and yardwork (we supply tools).

 On site fully furnished private cottage provided with all utilities.

Salary Package and Benefits

At Hawthorn Senior Living we have a very attractive salary package for our Assistant Manager teams. The salary package is broken down into the following categories:

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary starting at $50,000 to $60,000 per year to start (depending on the cost of living in the area where are placed) for our Assistant Management Team. However, each person will be paid their own individually portion of the aforementioned salary.

Accommodation:
As this is a live-in position, the accommodation provided is a one bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with washer and dryer in the unit. In addition to the apartment benefit, the Assistant Managers are also provided with all utilities paid including basic cable, free wi-fi, unlimited parking, and as well as all meals included. In addition, we offer relocation assistance and encourage all applicants who are open to relocation, to apply.

Healthcare and Other Perks:

Schedule:

Complete, hands-on training is provided for Assistant Management Teams, however, previous experience in a similar role is an asset. People management experience is preferred. This position is designed as a training and development role and the hope is that our Assistant Management Teams will aspire to become Managers of their own Gracious Community within a short training period.

Minimum Job Qualifications and Requirements

· Be able to work as part of a team with the Managers and the Executive Chef to provide a great living environment for our residents and a safe and motivating work atmosphere for our staff.

· Support the Managers in the day-to-day operations of the Community.

· Willingness and ability to live on-site in an assigned apartment.

· Prior management experience including operational and financial experience in managing employees, customer service, purchasing, payroll and accounts payable/receivable.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with residents and staff.

· Ability to keep all business, operational, and resident information confidential.

The innkeepers need to love people, have a mature personality, and high level of competence; with the social skills to make people feel welcome and to deal sincerely and effectively with their needs. Job Description:

• Attendants do NOT provide valet service but assist and direct visitors in a courteous and knowledgeable manner acting as the first contact with visitors as they arrive to the Memorial.
• Responsible for issued bank including accuracy and security.
• Operate fee computer or cash register, maintain accurate entries, charges, change, and deposits.
• Assist customers with the pay-on-foot stations.
• Maintain cleanliness of parking grounds by performing housekeeping and trash pick-up duties.
• Direct traffic within the parking facility and act as crossing guard for pedestrian walkways as assigned.
• Snow removal duties as required, including: shoveling walkways, sanding and salting walkways.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Six months of previous cash handling experience.
• Six months of previous experience working outdoors preferred.
• Public contact/customer service experience with a willingness to courteously interact with a broad cross-section of customers in a high-volume seasonal parking operation.
• Ability to properly handle and secure cash and credit cards, basic math skill, and ability to make change.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining guidelines set by supervisor.
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures in an outdoor environment.
• Ability to shovel and salt walkways.
• Ability to stand/walk continuously for eight to ten hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License preferred.
