We are looking for an honest, hard working couple to work at a back country ranch located in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. You would be working for a Homeowners Association along side a Ranch Manager Couple. Work duties listed below.

Cook/housekeeper/groundskeeper- (Including but not limited to) Cook for a small staff, Spring bear hunters and occasionally for contractors. Clean lodge and home owner cabins. Laundry (sheets & towels). Lawn care. Building and grounds maintenance. Over see ranch during Ranch Managers time off.

Ranch hand/hunting guide- (Including but not limited to) Lawn care, irrigation and building maintenance. Care for horses and mules. Take owners and guests for horseback rides. Trail maintenance using cross cut saws, shovels and polaskis. Guide and pack for Spring bear/wolf hunts and Fall elk, deer, bear & wolf hunts. Over see ranch during Ranch Managers time off.

Work season is May 1st to the end of November with a week out every six weeks. 

Starting monthly salary (DOE) $3,400. to $4,000. Room (private one bedroom cabin with bathroom & kitchen) and Board. Flights to and from ranch.

Host Campers/Work Campers YMCA Camp Sherwin - Lake City, PA

YMCA Camp Sherwin is located in Lake City, PA on the shores of Lake Erie, between Walnut Creek and Elk Creek Access areas.  It is a public campground with tent, RV, Seasonal Sites and Cabins.  Facilities are also available for weddings and group events.  YMCA Summer Camp Day Programs also are operated from this site.  Camp Sherwin also holds wellness programs, community events and weekend family activities for all ages and interest groups.

Hosts will set an example by being model campers observing all rules and regulations.  Our volunteer hosts can be inidividuals or teams such as a husband and wife.  Must be over 21 years old.  The schedule wlll be flexible enough for host to still enjoy the many resouces of Erie County.

Camp Sherwin Campground hosts perform  a variety of tasks, such as greeting customers, coordinating weekend activities/events, and cleaning up cabins/campsites.  They will also perform light maintenance work around the campground such as sweeping and stocking supplies at the shower houses, mowing the lawn and other yard work, help setting up the halls for rentals, helping with small construction projects, making emergency minor repairs when possible, informing the Camp Director about potential problems, and various other duties  Hosts need to become familiar with local points of interest and the location where local services can be obtained, e.g. fuel, lp, bait, groceries.

On duty hours include weekend hours and holiday hours and will be mutually agreed between the manager and host.  The manager will appove specific duty hours and assignments not to exceed 40 hours per week (total for the couple).  We are seeking host campers from May 18 - July 12.  (May be earlier than May 18 if the new hosts are interesed in coming sooner). Hosts provide their own RV/tent and are provided a free campsite with utility hookups and access to WIFI.

Live in management couple sought for Bed and Breakfast - Volcano, HI

The live in manager's duty is to ensure smooth day to day operations of the bed and breakfast. The position oversees all aspects of each of the departments(housekeeping, office/front desk, kitchen, landscaping and maintenance) including hiring, training and managing.

There is a set schedule where the manager doubles as the front desk/office position. In addition to the set schedule the manager is on call. Requirements – Previous hotel or bed and breakfast management experience but willing to consider management experience with related experience. Experience and knowledge of "fix it issues" which include plumbing, electrical, repair of appliances, etc. Previous live in positions with references is a major plus. Experience in some aspect of the tourist industry.

Lytle Creek Firing Line, Inc. has a caretaking opening for RVing hosts. This hosting position is at our remote day use firing range.

We are looking for the proper individual or couple who is wanting a southern California RVing location. The property is a secluded fee for use area, located in the chaparral covered northern San Bernardino National Forest.

We are conveniently located close to I-15/215, and 210 freeways. Rancho Cucamonga and San Bernardino are easily accessed.

The facility is located at the 4,400’ elevation in the shadow of Mt. Baldy, highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountain range, and the Sheep Mountain Wilderness Area, in the Lytle Creek Canyon drainage. The adjoining communities are still rural, however a large mall and other amenities are a half hour drive. Low humidity, without extreme temperatures, makes for a comfortable environment the majority of the year.

This is a controlled use area. Activities in a developing controlled shooting range include the use of firearms and archery equipment from designated locations at designated targets. A tolerance of firearms is expected.

The firing range is open seven days a week. The hosts are expected to maintain a presence on the property after hours, merely as a deterrent to unauthorized entry.

The applicants should be mature and responsible individuals or couples who are self sufficient, reliable, dedicated to a commitment, and independent. The facility is active from 08:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon, with light traffic on the paved road after hours.

Host positions are seasonal.

Applicants are expected to have a clean, self-contained RV, and should be able to provide proof of insurance and current registration. A tow behind vehicle is a plus. The host area is separated from the shooting area by approximately 70 yards. Currently, conditions are primitive, boondocking experience is preferred. Tenhours per week, per person, twenty hours per couple covers the cost of weekly sanitation service, potable water deliveries, as well as an alternative power source, propane.

Pets are acceptable, as long as shots are current and they are kept under control.

Local activities include hiking, fishing, hunting, bird watching, stargazing, 4-wheeling, wildlife viewing, mountain biking, gold mining and panning, and peace and quiet.

This could be a fine situation for active retirees who enjoy the seclusion of the outdoors and enjoy people in moderation.
