Now Looking for Work Campers for Summer 2016!

  We are looking for a couple or single person to help us out as a work camper next season.  The ideal people must be flexible, friendly, self-motivated, easy-going, able to work without a lot of direct supervision, see what needs to be done and do it, and enjoy variety in their day.  We are especially looking for someone who enjoys landscaping, gardening, mowing, doing maintenance, light carpentry, etc.  Prefer someone who has roots in Wisconsin or the Midwest but not necessary.  It takes about 2 days to cut grass and weedwack, minor projects possibly through out the week. Hours are not possible to set becouse you are outside working in the enviroment so it could be raining or to hot to work so the time  schedule needs to stay flexable. If its to hot to work their is always the pool to cool off and relax.  

ABOUT US:  We are very flexible and easy-going people. We are a smaller park with 99 sites and would like to expand,  What we are looking for is a  jack-of-all-trades types and those who like variety in life, would fit in great!  Ed is a very hands-on type of owner/manager and likes to be involved in many aspects of the business.  Coleen is more involved with Ceramics and the Store plus the  bookkeeping aspect of our businesses. 

Responsibility would include but not limited to Ground maintance , Flower gardens, Pool,  Working in the store, Restrooms, and special events.

Work Exchange for Alaskan Experience - Haines, AK

We are looking for a couple to live in a new home on our property in exchange for 12/hours/week work per person.  Work will include mostly gardening and outdoor work in the summer and  a variety of indoor projects in winter.  We are open to short term 1-2 month stay  as well.

We live in the mountains 40 miles away from the small coastal town of Haines.  While having  most of the luxuries of modern life, we   live as sustainably and  simply as we can.  This new  house allows us to have someone living on our property, to help us maintain this lifestyle as we get older.      We may leave for weeks in the summer and months in the winter  when you would be responsible for maintaining the gardens and greenhouses.  The house  is mostly heated with wood   requires preparing firewood for winter.

This would be the Alaskan experience : joining us in fishing, gathering  foods like berries, growing and preserving foods,  hiking, skiing, and snowshoing, living as  part of a community.

We are seeking a professional caring couple to work and live in our home.  We need assistance with daily household work including perparing meals and general cleaning and maintenance.  Experience as a professional cook is required.  Must have  an eye for cleanliness, extremely responsibile, have the ability to work as part of a team.  Caring for two small dogs is part of the job duties.  General maintenance and yard maintenance are also a requirement an is the ability to supervise others including outside vendors.

Boat Captain, Chefs, FOH and Retail Employees - Cooper Island - British Virgin Islands

Our Caribbean resort is looking for couples to fill any two of the following positions from May 2016.

Boat Captain - Must have a minimum of RYA Day Skipper or equivilant and 5 years experience operating diesel and outboard vessels.  This position involves guest and staff transfers, collecting supplies and disposal of waste materials and assisting with maintenance all other times.

Sous Chef: required to join our expanding kitchen team, NVQ Level 3 or higher and at least 2 years experience working in a high volume kitchen in a similar position.

Wait Staff / Boutique Sales:  Individual with Front of House and retail experience to assist in our restaurant and resort boutique.  Must enjoy guest contact and be of a very caring and bubbly personality.

All applicants must be willing to live full-time on the island, working split-shifts, evenings, weekends & public holidays and must be able to live in close quarters with other employees. A one year Work Permit is required for all Nationalities subject to approval by the Labour and Immigration Departments and can be easily renewed each year.  If you have a criminal record, including juvenile offences or major health issues, approval will be denied. Looking for a warm and welcoming couple to reside in & operate our 28 room hotel on the Jersey shore.  Located just 2 block from the beach in the heart of historic Ocean Grove (a victorian community).

This is a full time, live in position and includes a newly updated apartment with all utilities and salary. Couple will need to be able to run all aspects of the business (no food services), supervise a small housekeeping team and provide general maintenance.
