Description:Under general supervision of the Park Ranger, maintains good public relationsand provides directions and information to park visitors and campers.  Enforces park laws, rules and regulations.  Attendant is provided a campsite at Lake Iowa Park and must be available May through late September.  

Qualifications:Applicants must have a high school diploma, an interest in Iowa’s natural resources, a valid driver’s license, pass a background check and possess good work habits. Also, applicants should be knowledgeable of Lake Iowa Park rules and regulations. On site residency required.

Duties:Work with the public answering questions and welcoming them to the park. Communicate effectively with individuals, groups, and coworkers. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Explain and enforce campground rules and regulations while maintaining effective public relations. Verify camper registration, collect fees, make change, and balance the books weekly. Perform cleaning and custodial duties of the grounds such as litter pick-up, campsite and shower house clean-up, campground trash and recycling collection. Be observant for activities within the campground requiring immediate attention. Shall assist in campground special events and activities. Perform limited ground maintenance duties. Perform all work duties in accordance with ICCB polies, procedures and safety practices.

Compensation: A camp pad with full hook-ups will be provided along with a bi-weekly salary.

Managers - Caretakers for Family RV Park in - Penticton, BC

RV Park is looking for semi-retired couple with previous experience in campground management and maintenance.  The position is for a couple to attend to all operations of the RV Park.  The position is full time from April 1st to October 31st and part time for the other months.  The managers/caretakers are required to live onsite in a two (2) bedroom residence with an attractive inclusive rent.  This is a contract position; remuneration to be discussed.  Position to start April, 2017.

The  daiy duties include guest check in, making reservtions (all ofice management - answering phones and emails), site check-out, general grounds maintenance, lawn mowing, property maintenance and housekeeping duties (cleaning washrooms, showers and laundry).  The position requires computer skills, people skills as well as handyman skills.  The ability to resolve conflict in a friendly manner and ensure that policies are adhered to is a must.  Being comfortable with email is a must, as all reservations are confirmed via email and most of the reservations are received via email.

A newly renovated, one-bedroom/one bath, cottage apartment overlooks a scenic 100-acre lake. In exchange for housing, heat, utilities, a full “work” week is expected.

The individual(s) must have a pleasant personality, good safety habits, the ability to get along well with a variety of people. Also, general maintenance skills, firsthand knowledge regarding the operation of various boats (pontoon/bass boat) is needed. Light plumbing and basic electrical knowledge is preferred. The Caretaker position is expected to be a hands-on, full-service position that provides security and stability for the community.

Specific duties include: communicating with the board of directors, checking member and/or guest passes, rental of camping spots, answering the phone, purchasing supplies, general housekeeping of Clubhouse, light tree cutting, grass cutting, picking up trash/grounds clean-up, ability to tow objects from lake and redirect the occasional stray human or critter.

A professional background check will be performed. References are required.
Previous experience as a caretaker or maintenance person is preferred.
