Cooper Island Beach Club is seeking a suitable Front Of House couple to join our small team in the British virgin Islands from May 2012 for a minimum of one year.

Due to the small size and location of our resort the positions are very multi tasked.

Successful applicant will be performing mostly waiting and bartending work but also assisting with, guests activity coordination and room service when necessary.

Candidates must have minimum of 3 years experience working in a high-volume resorts. Candidates must be extremely proficient in MICROS or similar POS systems and have a strong background in food, wine & cocktail presentation. One or more of the following qualifications would be an advantage: Professional Bartending, Responsible Service Of Alcohol, Wine & Wine Paring, Mixology and Baristing. Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written with an excellent telephone manner. Fluency in other languages would be a distinct advantage.

All applicants must be willing to live full-time on the small island, working split-shifts, evenings, weekends & public holidays and must be able to live in close quarters with other employees. There is no AC on island, roads or cars. A one year Work Permit is required for all Nationalities subject to approval by the Labour and Immigration Departments, so if you have a criminal record or major health issues approval will be denied.

The successful applicants will work with the manager of food and accommodation services. There is a wide range of duties that come with this position but for the initial month it will focus on housekeeping club owned and member owned camps after a winter of being closed up. When the fishing season opens on May 12 the position entails housekeeping as well as kitchen food prep and dining room service. The position is for a minimum of 2 months, the main fishing season, and beyond that will be dependent on bookings for the summer months.

Required skills and attributes: Comfortable with computer work, must have the Canadian Pleasure Craft Operators Certificate, must be able to work independently. Applicants need to be physically fit as the work entails bending, lifting, standing, etc.

Our management team will need to possess excellent organizational, procedural, and customer service skills, ability to stay on budget, proficient computer skills, as well as being hands on in regards to repairs and maintenance.  This team’s duties include supervisory, landscaping, maintenance, office management and any necessary duties to accomplish the objectives.   We are looking for a team that can work together as well as individually.  This is a long term career position for a management team with company loyalty and a positive attitude.  Each individual must possess an attitude of self-motivation, problem-solving and hands-on approach to the challenge at the moment.  Must be willing to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Property/Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance of community buildings, equipment, pool, electronic entry and exit gates and landscaping of common areas.  Duties include lawn mowing, trimming trees and shrubs; developing Statement of Work for contractor projects, conducting lot inspections to ensure property is maintain and safety requirements are met.   Read and record water meters every month and ensure they are working properly.  The Maintenance Manager must be willing to work alongside the maintenance staff of 3 employees as well as be able to supervise them in maintaining community standards.  Enforce community rules and follow all applicable safety measures.  Able to prioritize work and budget for maintenance needs is essential.  Coordinate with Sales Staff on new home sites.  Responsible for measuring lots and coordinating delivery of new homes.  Oversee all aspects of the community.

Skills needed:  General computer skills, light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, landscaping, irrigation, operate heavy equipment, simple automotive maintenance.  Must have a valid Driver’s License.

The Community Manager is responsible for the review, screening and approval of all potential residents, billing and rent collection, eviction process, conducting lease signing and explanation of community rules, maintaining and organization of resident files, input water readings into computer, developing and mailing of monthly rent statements, oversight of RV storage lot and record keeping of all petty cash expenditures.   Develop monthly newsletter that promotes community news and activities.  Coordinate resident activities such as Senior Luncheons, Bingo, Youth activities, and other activities that promote positive resident relations.  Maintains Rental Management program to ensure entries are posted promptly.  Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable regulations and laws pertaining to management of a manufacture home community.  Work professionally and respectfully with co-workers, contractors, sales staff and residents.  Must maintain a high level of confidentially in connection with resident files.

Skills needed:  Good communication skills, proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel and Quick Books, excellent organizational, procedural, and customer service skills.

Farm Manager or Couple Team needed to care for 70 animals and manage a 500 acre property with a primary residence and art studio on site.  Woman works from home and her farm & animals are a intricate part of her work.  Looking for experienced and highly competent applicant(s) who are excellent with animals and have the necessary skills, common sense and basic veterinarian knowledge needed to care for her menagerie; 6 Goats, 4 Miniature Horses, Rabbits, Chickens, Various Birds, Potbellied Pigs, Dogs and Cats. Couple Team needed to maintain a 300 acre retreat property in western MA for a couple with two young children living in Cambridge. This is a full-time position for an intelligent dedicated authentic farm team who  embrace this lifestyle and enjoy caring for 6-8 horses and various other farm animals on the property including sheep, chickens. Maintain owners' current 1,200sf home on the property and the other structures on the property; guest cottage, garage, and barn. Oversee and liaison with family throughout construction of 7,500sf home and 500 sq ft studio. Must be able to maintain and operate all necessary farm equipment while practicing preventative maintenance habits with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical repairs.
