This position is responsible for the overall housing, safety, meals, and well-being of five adults with developmental disabilities. Tierra Village has formed within a larger land-based community atmosphere in a spectacular natural setting. The resident manager will have the opportunity to help shape the character and quality of the Adult Family Home and related educational and vocational programs, alongside the Tierra Village director. Please note the term care partner stems from the concept of care provider traditionally used in Adult Family Homes. Care partner, used here, reflects Tierra's belief that great care stems from a two way partnership in which both parties can grow and change.

Work Camp position in West Central Arkansas - Mena, AR

With exception of festival prep, this tends to be a SLOWER-PACED position in a rural location, with time to fish!
LOCATION: Beautiful Ouachita Mountains of West Central Arkansas, 10 miles east of Mena in community of Board Camp.
WHEN: From now till August 1, possibly later.
WHAT: Will trade your time of +/- 20 hours per week for your parking space with full hookups of electric, water and sewer (sorry, no wifi, but your mobile hotspot will get a signal here). Depending on scope of duties and length of stay, possible percentage of proceeds of crystal sales, could be added for pay. Although physical work tends to be light, you must certify you are physically and mentally able to provide the following type of duties: help with festival (set-up, food service, manning sales booth, tear-down); assisting customers at mine and crystal shop; posting items online for sale; building and landscape maintenance. Knowledge of building, welding, automotive, diesel, chainsaw, tractor, dozer, landscaping, online and social media posting, enjoy helping customers, is a plus.
