We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Mobile Home Community Management couple in Carlisle, PA. This motivated team will act much like a Mayor, Supervisor, Director of Marketing and Sales, Head of Maintenance and take a hands-on approach in any necessary duties to accomplish objectives. We are looking to employ long-term employees with strong ETHICS & INTEGRITY, as well as company loyalty and a great attitude.
The ideal candidates must be excellent leaders and managers, possess strong organizational skills, and follow-through on multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner with great attention to detail. Successful candidates will be flexible, possess excellent communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and have a passion for exceptional customer service while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
Work hours are normal weekdays with weekends off (except as needed for appointments and possible emergencies). Individuals must possess an attitude of self-motivation, problem-solving and hands-on approach to the task and objectives of the moment. Maintenance and upkeep is one of the biggest issues, contacting the appropriate contractor in the event of an emergency; overseeing all aspects of the community. Being able to prioritize work and budget for the community needs is essential.
Computer, administrative and people skills are required. We offer excellent compensation & great advancement opportunities. Candidates must pass a background and credit check, but perfect credit is not required. Candidates must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Review and screen potential applicants
Rent Collection
Eviction process as necessary
Fill Vacancies
Home sales
Prepare Monthly reports
Maintain organized resident files
Enforce park rules and follow all applicable safety procedures
Promote positive resident relations through various programs, such as newsletters, activities, or potlucks
Work effectively, cooperatively, and respectfully with co-workers, clients and other contacts

SPONSORING ORGANIZATION’S MISSION: The Sacajawea Center’s mission is to foster the knowledge and appreciation of the Agai’dika Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, the Lewis & Clark Expedition, Western frontier life, and the natural environment.
The Sacajawea Center interprets the rich cultural and natural history of the Salmon and Lemhi River Country, deepening people’s connection to the unique place this area holds in our nation’s history, which was shaped in part by the Lewis & Clark Expedition and Sacajawea as well as her people, the Agai’dika Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.
LOCATION: Working in Salmon, located in east central Idaho, offers a great opportunity for someone seeking a summer experience in a unique and interesting setting. Salmon is the gateway to the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, the homeland of Sacajawea, and the self-proclaimed whitewater capital of the world. Here you will find rugged peaks, alpine lakes, the famous Salmon River, and front row seats to prominent parts of American history. This stunning landscape inspires reverence and observation as well as offers unlimited opportunities for hiking, fishing, mountain biking, camping, boating, and many other recreational activities.
The Sacajawea Center is one of a kind. Opened in 2003 to commemorate the Lewis and Clark bicentennial, the Center boasts 71 acres with walking trails, an interpretive center, an amphitheater, a dog park, the Learning Center with space for meetings, performances, art shows and parties, a rustic 75 seat theater, a community garden, and the Salmon Outdoor School where primitive and ancestral skills classes are held weekly. The Center partners with twelve local agencies and organizations who provide rich layers of content and support and were instrumental in making the Center a reality.
POSITION SUMMARY: Perfect for an individual or couple with their own RV - interested in cultural and natural history! The site host assists in creating positive, memorable experiences for visitors and community members at the Sacajawea Center. They primarily work in visitor services and grounds maintenance but may support all aspects of operations at the Center including educational programming and events. Site hosts each work a minimum of 20 hours per week (which may include weekends and holidays) and are required to be on site 4 days a week. All hosts will work with the director to create a work plan with specific duties and scheduled times to work.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- · Greet visitors, answer questions, provide tourist information and be readily accessible to the public while on duty
- · Work in the Interpretive Center collecting admission fees and providing information as needed (up to 2, 4 hour shifts a week)
- · Inform visitors of park rules and regulations and notify staff if action is needed
- · Walking the trail system, engaging visitors
Other duties, as assigned:
Cleaning/Maintenance:
- · Checking restrooms for cleanliness: cleaning sinks, mirrors, toilets, etc. as assigned; restocking paper supplies
- · Removing litter/debris and emptying trash onsite
- · Weeding shrub/flower beds and trimming vegetation; mowing and maintaining lawns using riding/push mowers and trimmers as assigned; applying mulch and other top dressings; watering trees and lawn areas, flower pots/beds with hoses and sprinklers as needed
- · Replacing light bulbs and maintaining buildings as needed
Interpretation:
- · May develop trail-side stations for visitors
Emergency Operations (as needed):
- · In the absence of staff, take appropriate action during visitor or maintenance emergencies: identify problems, obtain relevant information, notify appropriate authorities (staff, police, ambulance, etc.)
Equipment Operation (only if properly trained):
- · During the performance of duties listed above, host may operate and help maintain a variety of equipment: pickup truck, electric powered golf cars, riding and push mowers, backpack and walk-behind blowers, power trimmers, and weed eaters
Special Projects (as needed):
- · Assist with event implementation
- · Assist with special projects related to operations. These projects can be structured to the volunteer’s interests and talents.

FEATURED JOB OPENING: Teaching Couple - Kissimmee, FL

Grace Landing is seeking a Teaching Couple in Kissimmee, Fl. to start on May 1, 2015. The Teaching Couple is a married couple that provides warm and caring professional parenting interactions for 4 youth ages 15-21 that in in foster care. The Teaching Couple will live on-site at the group home. Interactions and responses to youth are informed by knowledge of the complex issues faced by youth in foster care and by an understanding that youth need to be equipped to resolve their family issues and to prepare themselves for future success.
Essential Job Functions:Create an intentional community of learning, emphasizing the value of education and promoting active involvement in a variety of learning activities. This includes full involvement with processes that prepare youth for adult living, afterschool programs, summer programs, daily homework completion, and reading for enjoyment. Document all serious incidents and turn in to supervisor within 24 hours. Administer medications as directed by physician and maintain up to date and accurate records of all medications administered. Ensure youth are available for all appointments for therapy, medical, dental, etc. If an appointment must be missed the Teaching Couple will notify the appropriate person with as much advance notice as possible. Work with the supervisors to maintain a weekly schedule of activities for youth in the home. Work cooperatively with team members to insure responsibilities are being carried out.
Working Conditions:Must be able to work extended hours when necessary. May be required to provide awake-night staffing in emergency situations. Must regularly be on call for the group home children when on duty but children in care are away from the home. Must be able to see, hear and respond to youth in multiple settings. The Teaching Couple will work five days a week, with two days (8 hour shifts) off per week and one weekend monthly. The Teaching Couple will accrue 2 weeks of paid vacation per year. The Teaching Couple salary will be $42,500 per couple per year plus $400 per month towards health insurance costs. The Teaching Couple will live on-site at the group home. The Teaching Couple will both be employed by Grace Landing and neither will be able to have other employment.
Job Requirements:A minimum of a high school diploma is required, plus one or more years of experience in working with children or youth. Must be at least 30 years of age. Must be a married couple. Must pass fingerprinting and background checks including abuse hotline registry. The Teaching Couple reports directly to Group Home Director.
Skills:Must be well organized and self-motivated. Must be able to prioritize and meet timelines, completing assignments and projects in a timely manner. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must have knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Outlook, Quicken and Excel. Must demonstrate the ability to work harmoniously with others as a member of a team. Must improve skills over time through training and professional development processes.
