As a Home Manager, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to two adult male roommates in their private home. Responsibilities include providing direct care to both residents, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, and supervising a team of caregivers who also work within the home. The ideal applicant/couple has management/supervisory experience, and is able to lead and develop a team by using a positive and strengths based approach. This position requires a strong commitment to quality care and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each resident. This position has proven to be ideal for a couple, and is the exact position the founders of the company started with. While there will be two separate titles, the family feel within the home really embodies the energy on the home we choose to maintain.
The position offers a private apartment within the home and includes free rent and free utilities. Negotiated and agreed upon relocation expenses can be covered. The home and residents both offer a peaceful and tranquil setting, and the ideal candidate will not only match this energy, but elevate the team's dynamic by bringing the GOOD VIBES! The founders of the company have over 35 years of combined experience in the disability field and started the company in this exact position, strong support will be offered.
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 depending on experience for the designated manager, and a comparable hourly rate for the spouse depending on experience, tasks, and job duties.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any changes in health status.
Support residents with personal hygiene and toileting needs while ensuring dignity and respect.
Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement.
Engage residents in social and recreational activities to enhance their quality of life.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
Supervise and develop a team of caregivers within the home, ensuring smooth and consistent service delivery.
Provide clear, direct, and solution based communication with all involved.
Skills/ Requirements
Experience in caregiving. Strong understanding of intellectual and developmental disability care principles and practices.
Ability to work effectively in both home and community settings.
Excellent communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
18 year of age
Must be able to pass a background check
Must have a current driver's license, clean driving history, and reliable vehicle.
