Ranch Caretaking Couple - Telluride, CO

RANCH CARETAKING COUPLE NEEDED. This is a work/housing exchange in Telluride, Colorado. The ranch owner of 30 years is seeking a live/work exchange with a dynamic and experienced couple with no school-aged children to oversee ranch duties year-round.

In exchange for live/work rent, the Ranch Caretaker(s) shall perform daily/seasonal duties and responsibilities agreed upon, such as maintenance/repair of structures and machinery; snowplowing; general ranch work; gardening; housekeeping. Ranch vehicle provided. The caretaker(s) are estimated to work 15 - 20 hours per week. The ideal caretaking couple will regularly take initiative above routine tasks, be constantly driven to improve the land and facilities, with and without direct instruction.

The stand-alone caretaker’s cabin includes amenities such as a full kitchen, laundry room, high speed internet, etc. Possibility to have your own horses on-site, grow your own food with access to cold frames and root cellar. You will have flexibility to work and be part time with salary available for hours worked beyond value of work/rent exchange.

Seeking: mechanically inclined, self-Starter(s), handyman capabilities, flexible schedule, dynamic couple/team to oversee indoor and outdoor responsibilities and be comfortable with animals including horses. Elevation of 9,000ft with gorgeous views of the San Juan mountains.
