The North Okanagan Provincial Parks are seeking energetic “Seasonal” Working and Volunteer Hosts for the 2024 season.
Positions run April thru mid October with 2 consecutive days off per week (together).
Volunteer Host duties include welcoming Park Guests, providing guests with general information regarding the park, the local surroundings and tourist activities. Possibly selling firewood and ice (firewood provided by Park Operator). Possibly closing and opening the Park entrance gates. Volunteer hosts will be required to volunteer a minimum of 25 – 30 hours per week during scheduled term.
We offer the site, power, water and sewer in exchange for Hosting duties.
Paid Park Operator duties could include maintenance, registration, rule enforcement/security, janitorial, garbage/recycling collecting, lawn mowing.
PAY RATE ranges from $19 - $22/hour for Park Operator hours + Host honorarium.
Both positions will require a valid driver’s license and a RCMP Criminal Record Check with the Vulnerable Sector done. Might also require a First Aid Certificate. Fees for these are reimbursed following the completion of a full season contract.
