Now Hiring for our Summer 2023 Retail Team at Mount Rushmore National Memorial! Located in the beautiful Black Hills region of South Dakota, the destination draws more than 3 million tourists per year. We operate the iconic gift shop where you will be able to provide top-notch hospitality and welcome guests into a gift shop representing the sheer beauty, peace, and scenic grandeur of Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The Details:
Wage: $12.80 per hour
Summer seasonal positions start immediately and extend until October 30th, 2023!
Receive a $300 Travel Stipend!
Must start between Aug 1-Sept 15, work a minimum of 60 days, and work an average of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in a courteous and knowledgeable manner, answering customers’ questions regarding location, price, and use of merchandise.
- Greet customers on the sales floor.
- Operate cash register and obtain payment or credit authorization.
- Wrap or bag merchandise for customers as needed.
- Process returns and exchanges.
- Prepare end-of-shift deposit of payments.
- Stock and restock products as necessary; maintain product displays.
- Take inventory of stock and requisition merchandise from the stockroom.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least six months of previous cashiering experience. Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Public contact experience with a willingness to courteously interact with a broad cross-section of customers in a high-volume seasonal retail operation.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to properly handle and secure cash and credit cards; basic math skills and ability to make change.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining guidelines set by the supervisor.
- Ability to stand/walk continuously for eight to ten hours.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to frequently bend down or kneel.
