OPENING (for two):
We’re looking for a Team (of 2) to join our team!! Are you the dynamic duo destined to be the “face” of our property directly on the Pacific Ocean? You’ll welcome our guests and ensure they have the vacation of their lifetime, at our 100 year old historic ocean-front hotel in Seaside, Oregon.
We are comprised of 52 individually owned and decorated Units, consisting of Studios, 1 and 2 bedrooms. No restaurant, meeting, or banquet rooms on site, but everything any visitor could want is available within walking distance. Come join us in the fun. You will not only greet our guests as they arrive, you’ll also let them know how much we appreciated and enjoyed the time they spent with us as they depart. In between, you’ll stay busy with finding new and creative ways to market The Tides, enjoy working with the local Chambers of Commerce and Convention Center to be able to help our guests get the most out of their visit to our area as well as to our hotel. The job also includes working with various platforms which market and book Units in our rental pool.
You will both live on-site and share a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, kitchen, dining and living room apartment, with access to the outdoor heated pool and other amenities as well, all as part of your compensation package. Your kids and pet are welcome, and this is a permanent, year-round position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Front Desk/Office Manager
- Provide exceptional guest service experiences for guests before, during and after their stay
- Ensure guests are warmly greeted upon their arrival
- Monitor daily bookings and ensure assigned rooms are prepared prior to check-in
- Oversee all check-in and check-out tasks, including financial transactions
- Manage both on-line as well as phone reservations
- Collecting necessary guest information during registration (i.e. identification, credit card data, exact dates of stay)
- Assign rooms (if not registered in advance)
- Inform guests about our hotel services, amenities, conveniences and programs offered
- Respond to any guest and owners concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
- Oversee Head Housekeeper, and liaise with Housekeepers and Maintenance
- Recommend local tourist spots, including activities, places to dine, shop and sight-see
- Understand and apply hotel management best practices and relevant laws
- Report and record any maintenance issues on the hotel’s maintenance report system
Bookkeeping
- Implement general accounting functions of Accounts Payable, including vendor set-up, entering and coding invoices, and payment distribution using QuickBooks and/or additional accounting software
- Investigate any questionable data
- Compile monthly reports for the Board
- Perform basic accounting, financial, administrative tasks are may be needed from time to time
Marketing
- Create and manage content on social media channels, interact with followers, and respond in a timely fashion
- Stay current on the latest social media marketing developments
- Ensure posted and printed marketing materials are on brand
- Provide monthly marketing, email and social media campaign calendar
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key contacts in local visitor based offices
- Stay up-to-date on local happenings within a 20 mile radius to the north and south of the hotel, in order to align our marketing efforts with on-brand developments in our area and market
- Engage in local area(s) creative scenes, events and social settings, to network and develop local contacts to build awareness about The Tides By The Sea hotel
- Create property marketing directory
- Maintain hotel website to ensure content is constantly kept fresh and up-to-date, and that we are responding to queries in a timely manner
- Develop and present creative and cost-effective marketing solutions as well as on-site activity suggestions
- Keep image libraries updated with visuals that are on brand

- Reservations/Booking software (RoomKey PMS, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Adobe Creative Suite
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE INCLUDES
- Hotel Front Desk Agent or similar role
- Social media influencer or similar role
- Accounting or bookkeeping
- Website analytics and optimization
