WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
We are seeking to add a couple new members to our team. Depending on the applicants we may choose to fill all or some of the roles. We have enjoyed on-site managers for over 30 years and in planning for upcoming retirement so we have some time where we can train the right applicants, or if someone with just the right fit applies we can speed up the process.
Our company is a locally owned and family operated 60+ unit hotel and property management company. We have been in business since 1972 and are located Ocean Front in Cannon Beach, Oregon.
If we do select a 'working couple' it would likely fill two of the three jobs listed below. For example, we have over 5 'couples' currently on staff. For us that includes, married couples, relative couples, friend couples. We are an equal opportunity employer and have found hiring in pairs can be a positive way to build a valued team.
Maintenance
- Maintain the property's physical appearance and working order of the rooms, equipment, appliances, public areas, and grounds. 10 multi-unit buildings and a few cottages.
- Ensure cleanliness, preventative maintenance and repair of all in room amenities such as fireplaces, kitchen/kitchenettes, window treatments, furniture, carpet, electrical and plumbing
- Responsible for tools, equipment and mechanical functionality (i.e. hot water heaters, appliances, ice machines, etc.)
- Ability to interact and work with professional trades as needed (when we call in the experts)
- Ability to research and identify parts or repair techniques as needed to complete repairs.
Front Desk
- Execute role of the front desk, efficiently handling the check-in and checkout processes according to hotel procedures and standards. Front desk is the primary contact for guest interaction and services
- Complete phone reservations and accurately sell rooms based on guest need and preference.
- Manages guest issues effectively, work with management and team to address any guest satisfaction issues
- Maintain knowledge of property and local specifics in assisting guests
Housekeeping
- Proficient working knowledge of the cleaning of rooms according to hotel procedures and standards.
- Ability become knowledgeable with use of housekeeping management system (mobile app based)
- Attention to detail and ability to meet or exceed established standards. An eye for what can be done.
- Ability to communicate and work in a team environments; may work independently or as team
- Must physically be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, reach and all other aspects of housekeeping.
Supervior/Management
- Potential for shift lead or managerial position depending on experience.
- Must be experienced in team leadership, training, and coaching.
- Must be proficient with various systems and ability to understand all aspects of business and individual roles.
