Seeking a part time or full time caretaker to help manage a homestead and early development stages for a regenerative farm, art space and educational/event space in the Laurel Mountain range in Montrose West Virginia
Currently most of the land is forest, with several acres of cleared pasture.
Caretaker must have their own living arrangements and can set up space on the property. Food and free living space will be provided in exchange for work on projects equivalent to approximately 4 hours of work per day.
We are looking for people with experience in the following:
Land planning/development
Building of dwelling structures for guests and livestock
Construction of livestock fencing
Caring for livestock
Cutting and removing trees
Irrigation
Planting and tending crops
Digging/terracing
Building swales/berms
Use of tools and equipment (tractor, riding mower, chainsaw, drill, misc. power tools)
