LIVE-IN DOMESTIC COUPLE NEEDED FOR FAMILY IN WASHINGTON, CT – HIRING ASAP 

We have a lovely family of 4 looking for a Domestic Couple for their home in Washington, CT. This is a European formal household; fine dining experience is highly preferred for formal situations.

The couple will be responsible for the interior of the home; there is a Groundskeeper who lives on property and takes care of the exterior of the property and maintenance issues

The couple are responsible for day-to-day cleaning, laundry (reading labels, spot treating, ironing/steaming, and being able to determine which garments need to be taken out to be dry cleaned or hand washed). Cooking and serving with a formal understanding of service. Errands as needed, inventories, preparing the home for guest arrivals/departures and assisting with events. The principals will provide a vehicle to use for household needs, any personal errands or outings by the couple, you will use their own vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

There is a private apartment/duplex available on the property (off the main residence); the Groundskeeper resides in the downstairs apartment, the couple will live in the separate upstairs unit.

Working hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM with a break during the day. The day ends after dinner is served around 8:30 PM.

The couple will be self-starters who can work independently and from a list. Being proactive to see what needs to be done and anticipating the family’s needs are important. We need a couple who can manage themselves with little direction or supervision.

The family is offering 2-3 weeks paid vacation and ask that the couple take their vacation during the summer months as the holiday season is active with engagements and events. Christmas Eve/Day the couple will have off and most national holidays.

Location: Live-in, Washington, CT

Contract Length: Full-time/Permanent

Start Date: Immediate

Schedule: Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM-8:30 PM with flexibility

Salary: $165k annually, insurance, and 2-3 weeks paid vacation (holidays TBD)

Must pass full background and reference check
