Wind & Sea is one of our legacy properties, and we are looking for the right couple or individual to caretake this beautiful land and manage the day to day site activities. Responsibilities would include guest relations, overseeing maintenance, landscaping, and event management.
Envision living on a gorgeous, breathtaking seaside property and spending time amongst the most beautiful stretch on the California Coast in Big Sur. Self-sustain by growing your own food in our vegetable garden while also providing for our guests. Enjoy the properties amenities and explore the surrounding area with the many nearby hiking trails.
Job Description
The estate managers are responsible for maintaining an aesthetically-pleasing and functional indoor & outdoor space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for guests, providing them with logistical support, and general oversight of projects and tasks to ensure completion in a smooth and timely manner. Couples are preferred for this position.
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of hospitality experience required
3+ years of landscaping/gardening experience preferred
1+ years of event management preferred
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills
General maintenance skills
Ability to lift up to 80lbs while navigating steep terrain

Summary of Responsibilities
Guest Relations
- Ensure a consistent guest experience of safety, security, and service from check-in to check-out (cleanliness, appliances working, flower bouquet, welcome notes)
- Point of contact for guests throughout their stay.
- Guest orientation of house and grounds
- Provide logistical support as needed
Event Management
- Performing venue tours
- Point of contact for event vendors and day workers
- Furniture set-up and breakdown
- Preparation and cleaning of event rentals
- Provide logistical support to guests and vendors as needed
- Uphold property rules and regulations
- Noise ordinance
- Parking restrictions
- Event guest count
Groundskeeping & House Management
- Overseeing housekeeping
- Daily upkeep of the property grounds including (but not limited to)
- Watering, weeding, trimming, mowing, clearing debris
- Tending to landscape and vegetable garden
- Planting
- Organization
- Periodic house and grounds inspections
- Attending to & overseeing any building maintenance as needed
- Keeping inventory of house supplies/Keeping house well stocked
- Overseeing any assigned projects or tasks (Managing day workers)
