Resort Managers- Mammoth Lakes, California
Heart of the Sierra's/ Vacation Wonderland
We are seeking a qualified experienced couple to manage a 20 cabin year round resort in Mammoth Lakes, California.
Anticipated start date as soon as possible but no later than mid June.
As on-site managers, couple will be responsible for supervising the day to day lodging facility. Facilities management would require on-site presense and include but not be limited to supervision of grounds, maintenance, operation of and minor repairs of snow moving equipment,
Operations management will include but not be limited to direct on-site responsibility for reservations(booking,monitoring,reporting), guest services, housekeeping, data file management and staff management.
Location and challenges- Resort is located at 9000' elevation and is operated/promoted all year round. Winter season is susceptible to periodic heavy snowfall and cold inclement weather. Must be in excellent physical condition, willing to work long hours on occassion, able and willing to do labor in challenging weather at higher altitude.Summer/Fall season is a delightful time with wonderful weather.

Personal Characteristics- Couple must be energetic, highly organized, posses wonderful people skills, physically prepared for often strenuous outdoor assignments(winter snow handling and guest shuttles), be capable of learning to operate snow removal equipment such as snow cat, Kawasaki loader Piston Bully etc, and have basic mechanical and home repair skills. Additionally, should have comfort in living in small mountain town some distance from urban core.
Note, if at least one of applicants does not have equipment operating experience please do not apply.
Office skills- Managers must be proficient with computer(Excel, Word, Photoshop) and capable 0f learning and operating RNS/VRBO reservation programs and be able to interact with Trip Advisors, Yelp, Podium and other components of SEO.
Other responsibilities and professional skills would include.
Strong desire to be in hospitality industry
Basic accounting
Inventory and ordering of all material and supplies
Managing third party contractors
Public/community relations/travel industry involvement
Creative and proactive thinking
HR, payroll processing
