Bicycle Tour Guides - Skagway, AK

Spend the summer riding mountain roads and gravel paths through the temperate rainforest of Alaska!

Positions available starting between 4/26 and 6/1. Work days involve leading groups on bike rides averaging 2-3 hours. Good leadership skills, the ability to keep organized, and a desire to learn and share information about the local region to visitors of all backgrounds are the main qualifications. Experience with bike touring, basic bike mechanics, and leading groups is preferred. Our guides also need to be qualified to drive our tour vans while towing trailers. Multi-day trip guiding around Alaska and Yukon is available to more experienced guides and can be combined with guiding day tours to form a full-time position.

This hourly position can be full time in Skagway, with part time options available in Haines and Skagway. Housing is also available at a reduced rate for the term of the contract, and positions include end of season bonus, and industry discounts and pro deals.

We've had many couples work for us in the past. It's a great way to spend the summer in Alaska, have comfortable housing, and earn enough to save through the summer. There is some opportunity to work on tours together, but we have a big enough team that you will also work with other guides regularly. We have comfortable housing available in private rooms with shared bathrooms, laundry, and kitchen.
