Small Organic Farm Desires Couple/Individual to Help with Farm, Property, Chickens - North Royalton, OH

We have a small (11 acre) organic farm and home on wooded property with a stream in northeastern Ohio. We have ~60 chickens free-ranging outside and cats, dog inside. We grow organic produce and have a small, self-serve market at the house.

We are looking for the perfect couple or individual who can help on the property year-round as needed, and provide full care when we travel. Possibility for RV set up on the property, with ability to live in main house when we travel or extreme weather conditions warrant.

We are looking for a long-term, ongoing relationship with the right couple or individual.

Some examples of help needed include the following, depending on season and whether we are traveling:

morning and evening chicken care

chicken coop clean out

garden, soil prep, planting, watering, harvest

washing eggs,

restocking self-serve market

grass cutting

snow shoveling of walks, market area

small maintenance, repair or build projects

maintain home routine when we are away

care for indoor animals when we are away (usually not dog)

Housing supplied in exchange for part-time help. This is not a paid position.

This arrangement is suited for an individual or couple who:

*would like to live semi-rurally without the high cost of housing expense

*loves and respects animals

*is physically and mentally healthy and physically fit/able to perform farm-type chores

*is honest, trustworthy and dependable

*is respectful and tidy

*either works remotely with flexible schedule, or has other means of income and is self-sufficient.

*Is physically able to lift 50 pound bags of feed and do physical chores routine to farm and property maintenance.
