Seeking Couple / Team to Manage Convenience Store in Beautiful Mountain Town - Yampa, CO

Hey there!

We are looking for a results-driven couple to be responsible for the overall management of our gas station / convenience store located in beautiful Yampa, CO (near Steamboat Springs). The right team will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals, maintain inventory, and manage staff effectively. Candidates will have the most success if they have a background in retail management.
Store manager responsibilities will include supervising assistant store manager and lower-level employees.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with General Manager to develop business strategies to raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability.
• Maintain efficacy and fluidity in store by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to staff.
• Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service.
• Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
• Strong emphasis on inventory maintenance - receiving, organizing, returning, avoiding and processing waste, etc.
• Communicate and strategize with General Manager regarding buying trends, customer needs, profits, etc.
• Propose innovative ideas to increase market share.
• Maintain scheduling for store.
• Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths.
• Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, accommodation requests, etc), escalate to upper management if necessary.
• Be a shining example of positive behavior and high performance.
  • Additional store manager duties as needed.

• Proven successful experience as a retail manager.
• Previous gas station management experience preferred.

• Must be 21 or older.
• This is a Full Time position.
• Benefits are not currently provided but this is something that is actively being addressed by ownership and upper management.
