Cal-am Resorts is seeking a dynamic couple to lead and manage one of our five-star, 55+ Luxury Resort Communities in sunny Arizona. Compensation for this position is $100,000 annual per couple, a beautiful home on the property, a benefit package, commissions, and annual bonuses!! Must love people!
These positions are strategically designed for couples who will serve from the heart while living on-site providing management and leadership oversight of the community. The primary goal of these roles is to ensure a high level of resident satisfaction while growing and maintaining high occupancy levels.
As a Resort Manager Duo, it is your duty to administer and maintain all phases of community operations to include personnel functions, leasing, community maintenance, budget control, and resident relations.
A Summary of General Accountabilities to be divided between the two resort managers based on strengths. (A detailed list of duties to be shared during the interview process)
- Hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates on-site employees. Provides staff with direction, guidance, and tools for performing well. Takes appropriate disciplinary action in response to insubordination, misconduct, and lackluster performance.
- Responds promptly to employees/customer’s needs and concerns while being pleasant, cheerful and tactful.
- Oversees the resort food services: a bistro café and a bar and grill with nightly live entertainment.
- Reaches decisions quickly based on available information. Acts as an innovative and/or creative source to consider solutions to problems.
- Processes and approves payment of vendor invoices on a timely basis through Yardi.
- Supervises and ensures collection of all rent and other Resort income.
- Performs a variety of tasks in a calm and controlled manner.
What we are looking for in a candidate couple:
- You enjoy working with the senior population.
- You believe the two of you balance each other’s experiences, strengths and weaknesses.
- You have a passion to lead and have experience managing a team of employees.
- You are proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel and are able to learn new software systems in a timely manner.
- A background in restaurant management is a plus.
