Front Desk/Housekeeping/Cooking - Olancha, CA

We have acquired a new property to add to our resort family, and are currently looking for help to assist with our front desk, housekeeping and cooking. It is rewarding as you will find much to do on your days off exploring the surrounding areas of this beautiful valley.

Looking for a  hard working couple or individual WITH AN RV to join our  team. This is a family owned  property.  Successful candidates will provide for front desk/housekeeping/cooking (also including being on-call to fix a TV, plunge a toilet, change lightbulbs, etc), landscape maintanence (including raking, flowerbeds, trimming trees, weeding, etc) and both will assist with housekeeping/cleaning duties as required. Must work weekends and holidays, non-workdays are scheduled midweek.

Must be willing to:

• work outdoors in all types of weather and inside units that can get hot or cold depending on season
• learn new computer programs, booking system-Loevntis
• check in guests, cook/serve food, cachier small retail store
• Lift up to 50 lb, using proper bending and lifting techniques
• Lift & carry  trash cans, yard equipment, ladders, bags of linen, caddies of supplies, power tools, building materials, etc
• Walk up and down stairs and navigate desert roads
• Assist and be on call some nights (paid as time work) to help check guest in, greeting and showing them around facility
• Some carpentry and/or plumbing knowledge is helpful. 
• Must possess handyman/maintenance skills, landscape & gardening skills and housekeeping experience.
• Daily trash pick up/sorting recycling and getting sites ready for incoming campers. "Work campers with Construction trades" certified or retired, plumbing, electrical,  running equipment etc is High on our want list and will be pushed to the top of our waiting list
• Create a well groomed, welcoming guest environment
• May work odd hours/split shift to cover for others
• Attention to detail of buildings, camping sites & outdoor spaces, plants, cleanliness.
• Guest hospitality interaction as needed.
• Good communication with all team members.
• Positive attitude.
• Self starters requiring little supervision.

You will each be scheduled to work five consecutive days,  shifts about  5-8 hours per day depnding . Your days off will be the same but your daily schedule may not be...meaning one person may work AM shifts some of the time..the other might be scheduled to do some PM shifts...we try to have shifts line up as much as possible.

Must have reliable transportation. We are remotely located with the nearest town 25miles north and larger town 1 hour south.

Term: 3 month term with possibility for longer/permanent stay

Compensation: $13.00/hour each to start, plus electrical and sewer and water. Must have RV with self-contained bathroom.  We do have full hook-up service.
