FEATURED JOB OPENING: Live-in Cook needed and a Housekeeper - Mendham, NJ

The Community of St. John Baptist, founded in England in 1852 is a religious order of women in the Episcopal Church.  Since the early 1900’s the Sisters have been in Mendham, New Jersey.  Prayer and worship are the undergirding of all our ministries. We endeavor to encourage and foster the opportunity where hearts may be opened to receive God’s love, forgiveness and reconciliation.  

We are currently seeking a Cook. This is a full-time live-in position. 

The Cook is responsible for planning and preparation of all guests and crew meals following the prepared menus.  The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Hospitality or Retreat House Industry and be dedicated to delivering appetizing meals in an efficient manner.

Qualifications

Five years’ minimum experience required in the Hospitality or Retreat House industry.  Knowledge of special diets and preparations such as low sodium, heart healthy, diabetic, gluten free and vegetarian strongly preferred.
Save Serv Certification is mandatory.
