WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
Would you like the opportunity of island living in the beautiful San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest? Look no further than this full-time position that affords quaint log cabin living with stunning water views, surrounded by nature, outdoor activities, and a healthy lifestyle.
We are looking for a strong and proficient couple or single person, with a varied skill set, to manage the functions of a small, tight-knit community of homes on the south side of Blakely Island, Washington. Ideal candidate has a Level 1 or Level 2 water treatment certification but willing to train the right candidate.
Duties may include (but are not limited to) road maintenance, water system management, equipment upkeep, building maintenance and projects, garbage removal, procurement and transport of supplies and equipment and more. Your duties would vary day-to-day, but always while living among some of the most beautiful nature in the country. The biggest qualification we are looking for is a can-do, positive attitude.
Must be comfortable with remote living. We are one of the smaller San Juan Islands, without ferry service. There are no stores or businesses on the island other than a small, seasonal marina. Candidate will need to be prepared to manage the remote lifestyle while assisting community members in a creative, positive way.
Salary is negotiable and includes benefits, training, use of association vehicles and housing. Income is structured to allow opportunity for additional income by doing extra work for individual families.
