WHY DO WE SHOW EXPIRED LISTINGS?
RV Park needs a part-time resident manager and/or a maintenance person. Whether you’re interested in the resident manager job, the maintenance job, or both jobs, we’re interested in talking with you. Come for a season or come to stay!
Our four-season climate in the “Wild West” near the mighty Columbia River affords great recreational opportunities for boating, fishing, kayaking, and hiking. Explore old west towns, rodeos, Native American exhibits, pristine high desert lakes and craggy mountain ranges.
The park is a 41-space pet friendly family park with mature trees and grass at each space. This is a nice clean park with a good mix of long-term residents and guests who are staying for a few months while they work in the area. No overnight or weekly guests. If you enjoy helping others, like being part of a team, and consider yourself a self-starter; we hope you will reach out so we can compare notes.
The owners co-manage the park from Portland (3 hrs. away) with the resident manager. The owners take care of reservations and resident relations, including most rules compliance matters. Resident manager duties include processing rent payments, showing arriving guests to their sites, checking new residents in with space rental paperwork, communicating regularly with the owners, and other miscellaneous tasks to assist out-of-town owners. The resident manager will work some days for an hour or a bit more when Residents are calling in their rent payments. Other days are quiet. The office area is closed to the Residents and a Covid-safe contactless payment system is in place for the protection of managers and residents.
Resident manager compensation depends on the job duties undertaken. In return for routine duties, the park manager receives free RV space rent, free parking, and a free 5 x 10 mini-storage unit. Extra project work undertaken by the resident manager is compensated on an hourly basis.
The maintenance position pays hourly. Earnings may be used to offset RV space rent at the option of the worker. Work hours per month vary depending on the season and the duties undertaken. Groundskeeping duties plus sprinkler system maintenance will bring 30 to 40 hours per month of work hours from May through October if the applicant has experience with both types of work. Less work is available during the winter months.
We are flexible about how the couple (or individual) chooses to take their time off. The most recent managers preferred working 6 days per week (there isn't that much work to do in a week) and then taking four back-to-back days plus their regular day off at the same time for a total of five consecutive days off, once per month. This schedule afforded the managers time to travel to the Oregon Coast and other Pacific Northwest scenic areas. Alternatively, the schedule may be arranged with a more traditional two days per week off. Owners will provide training support as needed.
We welcome your call if you would like to know more. Or email us your work history and maybe a photo of yourselves and your RV. We love it here, and maybe you will too!
