Cook (or Couple) for a Hunting Lodge - Ocate, NM

We are a community living and working on a beautiful remote wilderness setting on a 37,000 acre Ranch. We are looking for someone to cook this upcoming Hunting season. The season runs from September -January. There can be anywhere from 4-12 people at a time. We serve two meals a day, brunch and dinner with a “serve yourself” soup in between. The hunters eat a very meat heavy diet and we would prefer whoever comes to enjoy cooking that type of food. Because we cater to smaller groups, your job will be to act as host as well as cook. Menu planning, shopping, cooking, and serving our Hunters and other guests are the general services you will be required to provide. 

We would want whoever accepts this position to be a person who enjoys nature and living out in the country. (The nearest town is 1 hour away) You can expect to see constant wildlife from Deer, Elk, Antelope, Bear, Bobcats etc.  

We live and work as a community/team here on the ranch. Depending on the workload, we will be here to help you when needed. Alternatively, you could be asked to help us with other tasks if needed. 

Our community is diverse, nonsecular, open to many cultures and committed to living a quality life.. We would prefer, although it isn’t a requirement, someone with similar values open to long term living and working as a member of our community. 

This position is open for an individual or couple. Housing will be provided. The compensation will be based on experience and skill level.
