Maintenance and Cook - Summer Camp - Big Pine Key, FL

Seacamp is located in Big Pine Key, FL in the Florida Keys approximately 30 miles north of Key West.  We are looking to fill a Cook and a Maintenance position. Celebrating our 54th year!!!  A non-profit organization offering  residential marine science and SCUBA programs for 10-17 year olds in a summer camp setting and to visiting elementary, middle, secondary, college, and adult groups September through May.

Position dates - May 1, 2019 – September 30, 2019

Cook

Previous experience cooking for large groups required

Description: Seacamp serves three meals per day to 80-100 people per meal.  Responsibilities include food purchasing/preparation/production per established menus, dishwashing, meeting required American Camp Association standards, keeping working areas clean, record keeping and supervising Kitchen Assistants. Professional presentation and attitude; ability to maintain focus while working individually, time management skills.

Qualifications: Culinary experience and ServSafe Food Service Manager certification required. Planning and organizational proficiency, detail oriented, and strong work ethic and integrity.

Maintenance

Previous experience in facilities maintenance

Description: Responsibilities include facilities maintenance, including but not limited to painting, carpentry, building repairs and upkeep, plumbing, grounds work, preventative maintenance, routine inspections. Keeping working areas clean, record keeping and supervising Maintenance Assistants

Qualifications: Previous maintenance experience; skilled in the use of hand and power tools, ability to check repair manuals or parts catalogs as needed; professional presentation and attitude; ability to maintain focus while working individually, time management skills
