We have an immediate opening for an energetic couple who are outgoing self-starters, with excellent sales, and customer-oriented personalities. As manager you are responsible for the rental of self- storage units, making sure the facility is clean and safe for our customers and the overall success of the facility. Management of the office includes but not limited to opening and closing the office on time each day, daily security rounds, balancing petty cash, making bank deposits, and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Compensation: Negotiable, minimum $20.00/hour per manager plus onsite one-bedroom apartment
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., emergency on-call 24/7

Skills
• Ability to operate computer, printer, copier, internet, phone, fax, surveillance, and security systems
• Knowledge of Quikstor or similar storage facility program, Word, and Excel
• Organized and dependable
• Ability to work well with others
• Applicant must possess exemplary written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently in a busy environment
• Works well under pressure
• Proficiency in Spanish a plus
Job requirements
• At least two years self-storage experience a must
• Managers must reside on the property
• Cover for manager at other in town facility in the event of sickness or vacation
• Professional well-groomed appearance
• Must have a clean employment and criminal history with valid driver's license
• High school diploma or GED
• California driver’s license, automobile insurance and dependable transportation
• All Employees must pass a post-offer, pre-hire background screening which includes a multi-state criminal check and DMV Records
Job Description
• Greet and show property, explain terms of occupancy, and provide information about the facility to prospective tenants
• Prepare leasing paperwork with tenant
• Attend to the needs of storage customers
• Process payments
• Responsible for maintaining and updating customer files
• Collect rents on past due accounts, follow up with collection calls
• Prepare units for auction/vacate as prescribed by law
• Keeping the facility rented at optimal level by effectively selling the product
• Maintains a neat, clean, safe, and secure facility including minor maintenance and daily lock checks as well as visual inspection daily
• Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
• Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 50% of the time and sitting up to 6 hours in a day
• Move/Traverse: frequently bend, stand, stoop, sweep, walk, etc.
• Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 50 pounds
• Climb: occasionally ascends/descends a flight of stairs to service the lights and/or reach overhead
• Part of each day will be spent outdoors maintaining the property using necessary tools.
