*paid at $250 per month per couple following successful completion of 90 day period in good standing
$70,000 to $80,000 Annually per Couple, full time employment paid on an hourly basis. Pay is exempt from multiple rate pay for hours over 40 in a work week.
This job is located in TUCSON, ARIZONA. Relocation bonus considered.
JOB SUMMARY: As live in parental guidance couple you will strive to provide a safe, Christ-centered temporary home for children in your care. They are part of a larger Christ-centered management team with high expectations for biblical character and values focused on creating and modeling these behaviors of love, hope and peace for the children and for all staff.
SCHEDULE: Requires weekends with 2 days off earlier in the week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Living in the SPLASH home is a condition of employment. Living in the house must be accepted to properly perform the essential functions of this position. This function is waived under these circumstances:
- DCS investigation for child maltreatment or other.
- Change in position of one or both house parents.
- Employment separation.
- Provide direct care of children and steward a home for the children in care by creating a safe, nurturing environment while teaching basic life skills and implementing positive behavior plans and behavior modifying techniques following GAP’s Behavior Management Plan, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) strategies, and state regulatory requirements.
- Successfully use TBRI strategies and techniques to redirect child behavior. Maintain calm yet playful demeanor when interacting with children in care. Build trust with children and co-workers.
- Responsible for keeping the SPLASH House and its grounds neat and clean daily to ensure the home is inspection ready per Arizona Department of Child Services Office of Licensing and Regulation physical plant monitoring tools at all times.
- Implement the daily schedule for the children, engage in activities of the group or with individual children within the group, as their needs require, often implementing these tasks without other support staff. Assist children with homework, providing appropriate workspace and guidance to complete tasks.
- Engage with the children in an appropriate manner following the GAP Ministries Behavior Management Plan and trauma model (TBRI), CPI strategies and state regulatory requirements.
- Follow outlined policies and procedures for dealing with children and duties. As well as GAP Ministries’ employee policies and procedures.
- Transport children to appointments when needed.
- Implement the Night schedule for the children; help to supervise morning activities of the group or with individual children within the group.
- Conduct and document regular, intermittent bed checks per agency policy. Pray for children during Night Watch hours.
- Agree to get up in the middle of the night if a child is in need of assistance/sick.

Ensure records are maintained in compliance with federal/state/local regulations. Complete all paperwork in a prompt and careful manner, keeping records confidential. This includes but is not limited to the following:
- Monthly Spending Ledgers & House Budget
- Accurate and truthful NSLP counts
- Accurate and real-time timecard (see Employee Handbook for details)
- Time off requests
- Misc. including: report cards, etc.
- Prepare meals and snacks, following posted NSLP menu and follow sanitary guidelines.
- Represent GAP/SPLASH to the public in a positive, responsible manner.
- Agree to flexible hours and rotation of homes. Primary purpose is to provide coverage in peak time periods until night support is scheduled. Flexibility and reliability is critical in facilitating appropriate relationship with all staff; reliability includes checking schedule/calendar multiple times a day.
- Follow agency chain of command in a responsible and supportive manner.
- Receive and implement constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
- Personally grow in leadership and spiritual life to exemplify the characteristics of a cultural champion.
